People who care will still watch, but I'd love to give Goodell a one-way ticket to Antarctica.
The NFL's greed will be its undoing.Over 2 months ago ex Cowboys Personnel guy, Gil Brandt on Sirius NFL Radio casually let it slip that next year it would be held in Chicago and over 4 days to increase TV revenue. He later backed away from the comment saying he was just an old guy (he's over 80) speculating. However, he is the guy who gets to personally invite all the top draftees. So maybe he is part of Roger Goodell's inner loop on this one.
The NFL's lust for TV revenue turning it from 2 days to 3 and now the prospect of 4, is pretty disgusting to watch. This is just about making more money for billionaire owners (and Roger himself - eg last year's $44M bonus), they don't really consider what the fans want.
You could say that for anyone. Bottom line is that you have to grow. The NFL's greed will be its undoing.
You care, and that's what's important.i'm as football crazy as anyone but i'm not gonna sit there live and watch rounds 6-7 and the udfa signings stuff on day 4...but i will set the dvr for it![]()

Bing....bing.....bing......Nope. Greed = profits, when you have a guaranteed-to-sell product. They have NO competition. NBA? MLB? MLS? NHL? LOL!!
Only chance they have of undoing is another football league...and THAT ain't happening.
They should have the team with the #1 pick host the draft
I was thinking similar myself. Let the city for one of the teams picking at the top host. That would build a lot of local interest. They should have the team with the #1 pick host the draft

I think the issue is market.
Say some small market team gets it, the NFL loses the glitz and glamour of a high profile draft in a high profile 'trendy' market like NYC, Miami, SF, LA, etc....
Draft in
Charlotte, NC?
Kansas City, Missouri?
Orchard Park, NY?
Some cities don't have that high profile venue.
