Well from the media's perspective, it is. More "experts" than I thought would have are picking Houston to win this game. Obvioulsy that'd be a tough loss for us and perhaps be the final dagger towards realizing we aren't a good football team. If we win, however, the spin will immediately turn towards the fact that the Texans are a perennial celllar dweller and that us winning was to be expected and not be something of an accomplishment. I know in the locker room it'll be a great feeling if we win and maybe win big, but from a fans perspective, expect to keep hearing the negativity until we can beat a "good" team (New England, please!).

Thats if you consider New England a "good" team...

New England isnt a good team this year either. You can mark me down as saying that

Chicago is a good team, if we beat them THATS an accomplishment

The media, specifically sportscasters, are no smarter than you or I. All they make are (sometimes) educated guesses. Some former NFL players-turned-sportscasters have insights into the game that we don't, but it doesn't make them any smarter.

Joe Theismann, for example, is only marginally more intelligent than a shrub I have growing in my front yard. I fully expect Tony Kornheiser to state something to that effect before the MNF season is over.

Well that IS the truth. If we beat Houston it only proves we can beat a hapless and winless team. If we lose it will prove that we are also a CELLAR DWELLER

You guys take too much stock in what the media thinks.
It means zero.

They have everything to win......

Proving they are'nt a mediocre team like Houston and Tenn.

Overcoming thier problems and getting into some type of positive rhythm

Beating a conference team has playoff implications.

Getting to .500

Going into N.E. with some momentum to build upon

These things are all that matters, not how someone will spin their view of the phins for media conversations.

I ignore the Media, a lot of the time I disagree with them and am usually right at the end.

Sure, its lose lose in the media's perspective. We'll also be 2-2 and could be in a four way tie in the division at the end of the week. So do I care for what the media thinks? I don't know about you, but I don't.

Who cares? We NEED this game badly. No team should be overlooked and no game taken for granted, but if we don't beat the Texans, we're in serious trouble.

Thats what I've been saying...

if we win, we are in the division race and next week will be a huge game. If we loose, we just suck bad and it will feel like two years ago.

:o *Yawnz* This is the NFL there is no such thing as a lose lose situation during the season. You lose, you lose, you win, you win. That's the only situation. I swear, this point of view that you have is worst then the "media". You training to be a reporter?

Ignore the media, they're the idiots that picked us to go to the Super Bowl!!!
I like it better when we're the underdogs and nobody is picking us anyways. The media wrote us off at the end of last season and look what happened.

A win is a win, we need at least 11 of them.

this is a classic over look game.. where miami just might overlook houston... i believe that carrs' passing will give the miami DB's problems... moulds and johnson are 2 good WR's... if miami's DB's keep making mistakes this will be a long game and a LOSS!!! it comes down to ... getting big time pressure on carr from the front 4!!! lets hope for the best ... but i'm somewhat worried...
