Mortenson on Vernon Carey

He thinks we re-sign him. From what he hears we dont want to create another hole...and Carey will come for around 5million a year...which isnt bad. He says Sparano seemed to like his improvement as the year went on.

Mortenson on Channing Crowder

He "would be surprised" if he is on the team. He thinks we want to go bigger....and he says Channing "will go to whoever pays him the most...no matter who. Channing was a 3rd round pick and he is pissed we have used him up cheap and not rewarded him...doesnt sound good.

Mortenson on Yerimiah Bell

Didnt talk long about him...but as rumored a deal is in the works already. Gonna happen...buy your Bell jerseys now. Come to think of it...thats a sweet jersey.

Mortenson on Renaldo Hill

Wont comand much attention from other teams...proablly comes back pretty cheap because this team optomizes his talent/skills.

Mortenson on Terrell Owens coming to Miami

(silence) laughter......"NEVER!"

Adam Schecter on Phins WR situation

Everything us stalker..ummmm fans...have said...Ginn not going anywhere....they LOVE Camarillo/Bess...and London "has starter talent". Mancrush on London followed for 3 minutes...and they even said if Plaxicco did this earlier London is a major factor with Gmen this year even. Steeeeeeeaaaaaaaaal

Chris Mortenson on LB Bart Scott coming to Miami

Makes sense....Ravens WILL NOT sign him...Suggs/Lewis are 1/2 on their list there....but wildcard is if the Ravens shock everyone and let Lewis walk/trade him. Where would he like to finish his career? Ohhhhhhh in Miami they say. "Not likely"...but if he played for anyone else...itd be us.

Omar Cook on Wilford

Feels bad for him....he knows he sucked...but he is one of those kids that puts on this face and wont take to coaching. Badically he was the **** his whole life....and never needed coaching....now he sucks...but he wont change.

Dan Le Batard on Phins WR Free Agent Sleeper

Antonio Bryant. Parcells had a love/hate relationship with this guy already...but he is the mold of a Parcells guy....and seems to have grown up this past yr. Great for Tampa this yr.

Chris Mortenson on Andre Goodman

Everything points to him staying. The key is to not create new holes...and address the obvious ones. Goodman alos will come cheap for how god he has played.

Chris Mortenson on Parcells leaving

Almost a sure bet he stays. Even if a new contract is worked out. He just has a bond with Ireland and Sparano and only wants to work with them...and obviously its been golden. he also surprised me when he said this is Parcells "Legacy"...meaning this stop means allot to how Parcells end up being seen. Super Bowl....he is maybe greatest mind ever....no success.....just a good mind that won a few rings in the 80's with good players. Hall of Famer still...but not a Lombardi or Shula elite dude.

Mel Kiper on Percy Harvin

Should be 3rd WR drafted...should be around at #25....not Parcells WR mold we all know he loves...but says its tempting for them and he really likes Harvin...when asked "who he is in the NFL"...he said...a "Faster Reggie Bush"....injures a concern.

So I think Goodman comes back and carey for sure. Hill looks like hell be back and Bell apparently is on the ropes right now. Crowder is a goner.

Id love to see Dansby here or Scott and if not dont be surprised to see Brinkley or Appleby in miami as a rookie. Brinkley is what 6'2 270 so thats a perfect size for what they like and should go round 3-4.

Brinkley is a badass but what we need in this defence is someone to replace crowder (seeminlgy, we won't resign him so... )

Marc Herzlich would've been a perfect fit to replace him, he can rush the passer (anyone else noticed how crowder was often used as a pass rusher ? ) , he's good at shedding blocks and he has very fluid hips, enabling him to run through traffic and close in on a tackle ... too bad he's staying in school, but watch out next year this guy will be our first or 2nd round pick for sure, depends on his senior year..

brinkley will play ILB not OLB. so how does he not replace crowder? he does exactly that.

Thanks man great info. Good sources too, especially Mort is usually spot on with his info.

Bryant has mercenary written all over him

I wouldn't give him 1 cent of guaranteed money, let some other team make that mistake

u see dansby realized he couldnt get to the QB so he tried to deflect the pass and he did. thats exactly what crowder did NOT do a few weeks ago. his common sense lacks and awareness lacks.

if Renaldo Hill is starting at safety again next year, I will be somewhat depressed.

I agree completely. he is very good depth and possibly 5th CB or 4th but not a starting FS. he will be good for ST play as well.

well i was so disapointed to know T.O wont be joining us . I was so looking forward to T.O. dancing on the pats logo at midfield . iwas looking forward to lets cut t.o. threads darn what a disapointment.

I am just messing around.
seriously I would rather Have Chambers back then T.O.
OK LET THE BASHING BEGIN IN 6, 4 , 2, AND ZERO

Thanks for all the info man.

I agree with your thoughts on Renaldo Hill. He's the perfect nickel and dime safety, but his starting days should be numbered - and by that I mean I should be able to count them on one hand once training camp rolls around.

I still think we need to draft a CB in the middle rounds - Goodman probably won't get a long-term deal and Will Allen is a free agent after 2009.

I know a lot of people on here want to see Channing go - and if he's all for the money, I guess I won't be too dissapointed. Just remember Bill Belicheck was all over this guy prior to the 2005 draft - I don't like the possibility of him teamed with Jerod Mayo.

N/p buddy.

There are a LOT of good S in this years draft, if we dont address this in FA i hope we use the draft for this or ima be one very upset man. Last year there was zero talent at the spot but this year its very very deep so take advantage in FA ala Jones or Atogwe or use it in the draft. its a must.

CB id love to get one in FA and draft one in the middle round and one in the late 7th round area. Robinson is my number 1 choice followed by Mcfadden or ASo but he wont get to hit hte market I feel, or Hayden etc.

Tough market for CBs in Free Agency. My uncle is a Texans season ticket holder and we talk quite often about the NFL, and he seems to think the brass in Houston is fully intent on bringing back Dunta Robinson one way or another.

If we get Goodman back, I'm not sure that McFadden, Hayden, etc. would really be that prime of a FA target.

If I could pick one FA to spend money on, it'd be O.J. Atogwe, but St. Louis has a ton of cap space.

Guess this is the unforseen "evil" of the CBA restructure of 2006. It saved football as we knew it then, but bloated the salary cap so much that unless you went on a huge spending spree (the Jets) you're going to have a lot of money and not many groceries available to shop for.
