I took this from M&M on ESPN 2 and radio to fill in the current boredom. A topic is posted, and you either Love It or Shove It with reasons if ya like. You can post new topics by posting Question before your post.

Dolphins should keep Clay, Sims, and Egnew, and are good at TE?

Dolphins should keep Miller, DT, and draft a RB in the 3rd round in place of looking to FA?

Dolphins should get rid of Matt Moore, and count on Philbin's Pet Devlin as backup for this year?

Love It or Shove It?

I actually agree with most of it, while I like other players at TE, I don't want to burn a draft pick or meaningful cap space on a position that was productive last year. I would like them to keep Starks but that probably won't happen. I don't think the Devlin is the answer, but for how cheap his salary is and how easy it is to find a QB mid season as a fill in for a game or two I am fine. After all if Tanny is out long term we are screwed anyway. Nicely done M&M boys, I don't say that too often.

1) Shove it. Sims and most certainly Egnew are easily replaceable and a good TE to compliment Clay would only open things up for Clay and the rest of the offense even more. I think we should always be looking for ways to improve our playmaker positions and should never be content.

2) Shove it. DT blows. Miller is still an unknown who I doubt will ever be a full-time back. Mid round AND FA are the way to go, IMO. No reason to limit ourselves.

3) Love it. I like Matt Moore and I think he's an excellent teammate. We are all so caught up in the drama players like Incognito, Martin, and Pouncey bring that we forget about players like Matt Moore who exhibit the exact kind of attitude you want on a team. That being said, he's far too pricey for a back up and it's time to give Devlin his due. Further, I think Moore can be a great transitional starter for another team. I wish him the best. Probably draft another QB in the late rounds.

Love it! You hit everyone on the Mark! Dolphins should keep Clemons also!

Well said and those would be my answers as well.

Must upgrade TE and RB positions. Clay and Sims are good but we need another seem threat option .
Miller showed promise but I want a power back to pound the defense with and DT is not that guy.

Say goodbye and good luck to Matt and starting bringing in QB's to compete with Delvin for the backup. I think we should draft one every year in hopes of finding a diamond in the rough.

1) Who would you bring in at TE, a FA or a rookie?

2) Which FA RB do you bring in to go with a mid-round pick? I like Blount.

3) Would you re-do Moore's contract or, just take a shot with Devlin?

1. Shove it - can't minimize the importance of the TE position in the modern NFL. No offense to Clay who I respect the hell out of.

2. Shove/Love it - drafting a RB 3rd round and later isn't necessarily minimizing the potential of having a new starter. I wouldn't want to take a RB higher, but it demands our talent evaluators actually do their job and find a viable late round RB starter which is very possible. ALSO I wouldn't mind pursuing Tate as long as the bidding doesn't skyrocket.

3. Shove it - Moore is a quality backup and great locker room presence. We have cap room flexibility at the moment and I don't think the moderate savings we might get from getting rid of him will be used very wisely. I'd like to rework his contract and if his number becomes an obstacle to building the team we want then you're not going to compromise your team for a backup, but at the moment I prefer having him on the team and that's so far from where our focus should be.

I agree with gonzo and fishfan as well.
Matt Moore deserves a shot somewhere. It is now or never for his career. I wish him well.

1) The only FA TEs I'm really interested in were Jimmy and Pitta, and I doubt they make the move for Jimmy. Garrett Graham is an improvement over Sims and Egnew, so given the option, I'd drop Egnew for him. If Ebron falls, I would absolutely draft him, depending on who else is available, of course. I'd take him over Zack Martin in a heartbeat. I like Jace Amaro talent-wise. Unfortunately, he appears to be a mental midget, which we've had more than enough of here already.

2) There are a good number of solid options out there. I think I like Tate and Gerhart the best, but I'd be happy with Blount, Moreno, or Starks. I'd still try for a midround pick as well, considering I think Gillislee sucks too.

3) I'd take a shot with Devlin. I think he's ready for that role. Part of it is also the fact that I like Moore and hope he has a starting shot somewhere. He deserves it, if only as a transitional starter. Don't get me wrong, the selfish part of me hopes he'll opt to get the vet minimum to stay as a backup.

1) Here's a list of FA TE's. If Keller can walk, let alone run, he is better than any. He could be a Wild Card, as the team treated him very well.

2) Agree on many options. I would prefer a FA who can block a bit. IF we get one, I'm not sure I would draft one, depends on who is there.

3) I don't like or dislike Devlin, not enough to see. I want to keep Moore for this year to help RT before moving on. New OC, new scheme, and some help from a vet who has seen everything. IMO, this is the last year of Tannehill's learning, and I want to give him every option to succeed.

I like Keller, but I certainly wouldn't bank on him recovering anytime soon. Vet minimum only, and I'd still take Ebron. As for Moore, definitely not at his current cost, but I wouldn't be opposed to him coming back.

Question.

1) Coyle should be incorporating some 3-4 to take advantage of his talent?

2) Hickey should look at other younger FA CB's to replace Grimes?

3) The team will be better in replacing Starks and Soliai with younger, cheaper talent?

Love It or Shove It?

shove it on all

We already incorporate the 3/4. When Jordan's in he is basically a stand up OLB rushing the passer. If we lose Big Paul or Starks i don't think we currently have the personal to play 3/4 in base.

Didn't we just spend two high draft picks at CB ? Hopefully they'll see the field this year. Grimes stays.

If they could some way keep both that would be ideal but we'll most likely lose one. His replacement might not be much cheaper or even much younger.
