LSU's Miles called out USC

"I would like nothing better than to play USC for the [national] title," Miles reportedly said in a speech to a heavily pro-LSU gathering in New Orleans. "I can tell you this, that they have a much easier road to travel. They're going to play real knockdown drag-outs with UCLA and Washington, Cal-Berkeley, Stanford -- some real juggernauts -- and they're going to end up, it would be my guess, in some position so if they win a game or two, that they'll end up in the title [game].

I don't think LSU are going to make the Nat'l championship game in the end. I think SC will be there. They're stacked with talent and IMO are better than the 2004/2005 teams that get so much credit. They haven't had a defense this good in a long time. But I just don't see LSU getting there. They're good, but I don't think they're good enough to kill that SEC schedule.

LSU has the talent to get to the championship game, But their schedule is really going to hurt them. They play alot of tough games and if they win those games there reward is a date in Atlanta for the SEC title.

Just proves USC is the best in the country when other schools have rallies and target you. You think USC has thought about LSU for a second, much less brought them up in public?

I think it could also be due to the reside from the hype of when LSU was thought to be going to the Rose Bowl for a while :dunno: I know I really wised that game would have happened.
