Does anyone think this guy has some potential to compete as the starter going into next season? I know nothing about his career at Washington, other than his stats were impressive.... just wondering if there is some potential with him and why he was drafted 199 overall? And subsequently cut?
 
All I know is had we drafted him he’d be getting talked about a lot more on here. Funny since we picked him up of waivers he’s hardly discussed.
 
I was really high on him but I'm not an expert. Was very surprised he slid so far. I was screaming for him when we were on the clock with our 4th round picks
 
I'm hoping he can amount to a solid back up QB for us. Thats my hope for him. Maybe lead us to 3-13 record next year. With wins over the Jets, Bills & Patriots. Bring on TUA in '20 & LET'S GO!!!

I'm gonna beat this drum all year.
 
Just from watching the posted highlights, I would say arm strength is the issue.

Hard to evaluate without spending a few hours, but seemed to read, and make quick decisions. Footwork was decent, not great.
 
Give him a shot and for him to compete with whoever we bring in. Kid has potential. That is some nice stuff from him on the highlights from Washington State. Never know a diamond in the rough on this roster it may be intriguing.
