Lunar Landing vs Dolphins Super Bowl Win

My oldest memories are of living in Hawaii as a kid From 1967-1970... I remember the North Shore, the pineapple fields and it rained a lot. I also remember my dad sitting me down in front of the TV to watch the Moon Landing in 1969....I was three years old. But I don't remember it as much as the 1972 & 1973 back to back Championships...when I was in Kindergarten and First grade. I take the Phins over the moon. Phins for life.

BTW, bettors seem to think we're decreasingly likely to celebrate a Super Bowl victory this season. There has been recent movement on the futures odds, specifically the season win over/under. The juice on under 8 has really climbed. Its -185 at 5Dimes and my friend said he saw 8 under -200 at one spot in Las Vegas. Some of the spots that were using 8 dropped to 7.5.

Trust me, they don't like to do that, and be subject to getting sided on 8. I've detailed that in prior posts.

Obviously this is subject to change based on preseason games and other indications. But right now there's no need to place a Dolphins future wager, whether it's to win the East or AFC or Super Bowl. I know many fans like to do that. Understandable. But understand the direction. Right now it is down. The over/unders get hit first since that's where the big bettors focus. There's a lag in other markets, like AFC or Super Bowl odds. Anything you see now is likely not a bargain compared to what will be available shortly. Of course, many spots don't move those future odds to more favorable, no matter what is going on. That's another aspect Ive detailed. If tourist fans will take 15/1 then why bump it to 20/1?

Not to mention modern camcorders utilized by a certain coach in Boston to cheat his way to all of their Super Bowls.

#justsaying

That team has a vey long history of cheating, going back to at LEAST the snowplow, then the video, then other teams' playbooks, etc, and it's basically accepted because the Hoodie "misinterpreted" the rules.

I hold them in the same category as Mark McGuire and Barry Bonds...garbage, and should be removed from the record books. Bilicheat shouldn't be coaching in the NFL.

23 teams have better odds to go to the playoffs and we're tied at 24th with the Rams and Jets at 4-1. Ouch.

Awsi,

You say they don't like to move the line so does that mean there is heavy action on the under? That would be completely understandable and predictable with the way we finished the season. In fact, if Vegas was smart they should have already factored this in to the over/under total. I might be placing some long term bets towards the end of training camp if Lazor's up tempo looks for real so the more things move in my favor the better.

Rejoicing in Pats victories is like rooting for Rosie Ruiz to (fittingly) win The Boston Marathon. (aka tell your friend to **** off until his team can win it all without the taint of cheating)

On July 20, 1969, men walked on the moon. In 1973, the Dolphins won a Super Bowl. Which was more memorable and historic for Dolphins fans? LOL

This is an e-mail I got from "friend" in Boston I thought I would share.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should have explained that my "friend" is a history teacher and Pats fan who was busting my chops in showi9ng that a Dolphins title has been almost as long ago as a man walking on the moon.

how about moon landing = fake, super bowl win = real ?

Yeah, there was considerable action on the under 8. Some spots were obviously double popped based on how much the juice moved. There was a mixture of 7.5 and 8. The 7.5s didn't move very much, if at all, but the 8s took under money. It might have been one group with an opinion. When I'm there full time I know exactly who is responsible but that's not the case right now.

Re the odds you are interested in, there is doubt toward the Dolphins right now so there won't be a swarm of AFC or Super Bowl money even if the opening preseason games are great. It won't be enough to counteract the overall impression. I wouldn't panic and grab a number unless it really stands out.
