I know alot of you all are concerned about having speed at the #3 WR spot, as am I. I think that we should definatly look into signing a FA like Boston or Hakim but I am not to sure how desperate we are at this position. Gilmore is gaining experience and I also think we should watch Luther Huggins. Now I dont necissarily believe that Huggins is the absolute answer but man he has blazing speed! he is sooo fast and could definatly help stretch the field with Chambers. I go to UCF and have watched this kid in person and I really think this kid can be good in the right situation. Apparently, he did really well in the recent mini-camp too! heres a link and the quote:

Marshall standout wide receiver Josh Davis had a good camp as did the UCF's Luther Huggins.

Personally I'd love to see either he or Davis sign on and have a long career with Miami. I think a guy like that can be an effective slot...consistency is the key and Davis was really consistent in college.

Heres a tiny bit of inspiration...both Luther Huggins and Sam Simmons are both 5'9'', with an NFL workout routine he can put more weight on.

Simmons made the dolphins as the 5th WR and eventually was cut, as injuries to his ankle made an impact.

He's still a big-time underdog, but I'd love to have a Golden Knight RUDY.

thanks for the article.

Good to see what Saban had to say about Crowder's leadership and Ronnie's vision.

It was also nice to see a little love for one of my favorite UDFA signee, USC TE Alex Holmes.

BTW... regarding the thread. It is nice to hear about Huggins and Davis. I think Davis could well make the roster.

Davis can make this team without a doubt, what does Huggins run in the 40? a guy said he is fast and if your a little short like him you have to make up for it with speed

ive watched a couple of huggins' games since I go to UCF too. He's got some good speed but his holdback is he's only 5'9" which affects him a lot with separation from corners and in jump ball situations. But he's definitely a consistent player and I'm definitely up for giving him a shot as well as signing another WR such as Hakim

:yeahthat: I would also like to see both of these guys signed, the more weapons we have, the better

I agree, I'm rooting for Davis to make the team!

I've read that Davis is horrible going over the middle and would have to play outside only due to this inability.

Despite all of his receptions, he has only adequate hands, as he will drop or double catch some passes, especially those going over the middle … Not the type that like contact and is reluctant to make the catch in a crowd or venture over the middle of the field … Played most of his career working in the slot, but will have to move outside at the next level due to a lack of courage for the middle area
