If Lydon is playing so well, why is he not playing at RT? Also, are you telling me Fasano is so good we did not take a shot at Miller, Boss or Scaife? I don't get it.....

How do you know we did not make contact with Miller Boss or Scalfe ? How do you know any of them actually wanted to play here ? Columbo had some minor nagging injury problems last year, so again, the man just started practicing yesterday, they have to see where he is at. As far as playing well, Murtha did not play all that much last season to see he played well. One game he got knocked out and never appeared again. We even had a poster claim Murtha look great the last game of the season when in reality, Lydon Murtha was on IR for the last game of the season.

Murtha played 6 games last year, and according to the newspapers he is playing well in practice. So, why only play him at LT, when we all know Long will man that spot when he comes back.

As for the TE's not a single report on rotoworld linked us to any of those TE's. Not to mention, my question stated is Fasano that good, that we have not looked to upgrade that position?

Murtha is smoke and mirrors...get him off the roster. Oh forgot, Miami gave the bum a new deal...

You must be smoking some good stuff if you think Bo Scaife is an upgrade over Anthony Fasano. They're practically the same.

Zach Miller is not worth 7 million dollars a year like Seattle paid him, and Kevin Boss is more than likely going to stay with the Giants (unless Al Davis thinks he's fast and pays him Zach Miller money)

Would I have supported these moves if Ireland did them? Sure. You can never have too many weapons. (although paying Miller that money would have been shockingly dumb)
But these ships have sailed, and we seemed to have our tight end core. Fasano runs short routes and blocks, where Clay can probably run intermediate routes and get first downs.

He signed a one year RFA tender. He can be released at anytime and we owe him nothing.

Fasano had his best year as a pro last year. The only free agent upgrade would have been Miller and like previously stated, not worth the money. I actual think Fasano is an above average TE.
