Mack Strong or Fred Beasley?

The Dolphins thought enough of Seattle's Mack Strong that the Pro Bowl fullback was offered a three-year contract that included a $500,000 signing bonus, the Tacoma News-Tribune reported. Strong instead accepted a three-year, $3.1 million contract from the Seahawks that included the same signing bonus.

It's believed that Mueller's familiarity with Strong from when he worked in Seattle's front office was a major reason for the Dolphins' interest. After being snubbed, the Dolphins signed former San Francisco fullback Fred Beasley to a one-year contract Friday.

Beasely is pretty damn good, but he doesn't compare to Mack Strong. Mack Strong is a beast, and has been underrated for Shawn Alexander's success for a while now. That guy is a monster and he loves to block and hit.

Strong's a young 35 though. He's the absolute best guy you want in front of you leading the way at FB if your a running back.

Nothing against Strong, but Sammy Morris and him are almost the same.Beasley can bust open holes for Ronnie.Beasley is a beast and now he is on a good team he will show it.

I do think Beasley is a better blocker...speaking of blocking doesnt get better than Ronnie at picking up the blitz..

Strong and that line made Alexander look great for years. Dont get me wrong, Alexander is a great back, but he has tons of help and lacks the athleticism of both Ronnie and Ricky. Strong is elite, but Beasley is younger and awesome as well. Tough call. I say put Ronnie in at FB in the iform in front of Ricky on certain downs.

I like Beasley, and I'm not just saying that because we signed him. I really like Mack Strong (great name for a fullback) but he has been in the NFL for 14 seasons. I also feel that Beasley is the better all around fullback. He can catch, run and block.

Give me Strong if I have the choice. Beasley is damned good and is probably better as a receiver, but Strong is a huge part of Alexander's success and the reputation that the left side of the Seahawks OL had.
