I didn't think i'd say this... but the QB's look pretty good... especially Frerott. On the other hand, the O-Line looked exactly like last year and I was looking forward to a change with our new O-Line coach. I sure hope they step it up come saturday against the Jag's nasty D-Line... I'm feeling that if we don't improve soon we are in for a frusterating season in which, dispite good D, QB's, WR's, and RB's, we don't get much done due to a weak front.

Its still pretty early give them a couple weeks of playing in games together hopefully they can pull it together, but I was like you, it was like watching a game last year the first couple series.

Wait till Frank Middleton assumes the starting Guard Spot and I don't think that Jeno James even played tonight

Agree completely. I was saying the same thing....thought we were dominated on both lines.

James played the first couple of plays I think. Main problem IMO is C. Carey's pushing his guy outside decently but that leaves a blitzing LB right down the middle. Most of the pressure came from inside LBs, DEs, guys that the C should be watching.

Yeah Both Lines, where in the H was the Pass Rush. Come on Kevin Carter and did Vonnie Holliday even play?

I agree. Both sides of the ball looked very poor.

I agree that the holes are just not there. But I have not seen one run that is not either right up the gut, or off tackle. How bout some sweeps. Stop just pounding it right up the middle.

Amen. Not only that, but Taylor looked lost or at least no where to be found in the pass rush. I hope he gets more comfortable.

Carter did but I didn't see Vonnie. Roth was hammered during pass rushes. And Thomas should be out helping the secondary rather than rushing, which is what Crowder and Pope should be doing.

Middleton and Ephraim could help the interior a bit. Carey did decently IMO by pushing Wale to the outside most of the time.

My gosh our oline can not get a hole to open for half a second. YUCK.

I knew most of you couldn't judge an offensive line to save your life. This proves it. Every free blitzer is an offensive lineman's fault to some of you guys. Every time there is a guy free to make a tackle is a lineman's fault to some of you guys. That isn't the case at all.

That's not the case at all, and I really don't have the time to explain to you what actually happens on the OL.

The pass blocking was respectable. The breakdowns in pass protection were a result of the RBs missed blocks on numerous occasions. Yes the run blockign was weak. But thats something that will take time I feel. I am encouraged by what I have seen tonight. By the beginning of the season I think the Oline will be respectable. By the end of the season I really think we will be pretty good up front. it will take time for the line to gel, we just changed it up this week not to mention.

This is exaclty what I have been afraid of all off season. Lack of improvements to the personnel of the oline. I can only hope they get better and we don't get 2 qbs and one rb injured in the same game again.

More upset at the D line than the O- line, the D line had no pressure on the qb, whereas the O-line did ok, BEars blitzed a ton for a preseason game, and this is a new group, but Frerotte and Feeley were given pretty good time to throw the ball for the most part.
