Madden 23: WR ratings released

Someone mentioned TE ratings.....funny thing is that they weren't supposed to be released yet and when you load up the wide receivers they aren't there, but doing a search 'accidentally' then shows them.

Gesecki: 86 (7th)
Shaheen: 68 (54th tie)
Smythe: 68 (54th tie)
Long: 66 (64th tie)

It hard to name 26 recievers you take over Waddle!
Honestly, I'm not disappointed in Waddle being rated at 27 after his rookie year. With 32 teams, there are 32 #1 receivers -- and we have two of them.

Just for comparison, here are the receivers that Madden rated ahead of him with their stats from last year (G/Catches/yards):

Davante Adams 16 / 123 / 1553
Cooper Kupp 17 / 145 / 1947
Tyreek Hill 17 / 111 / 1239
DeAndre Hopkins 10 / 42 / 572
Stefon Diggs 17 / 103 / 1225
Justin Jefferson 17 / 108 / 1616
Mike Evans 16 / 74 / 1035
Keenan Allen 16 / 106 / 1138
Terry McLaurin 17 / 77 / 1053
Amari Cooper 15 / 68 / 865
Michael Thomas DNP
Tyler Lockhart 16 / 73 / 1175
Chris Godwin 14 / 98 / 1103
D.K. Metcalf 17 / 74 / 967
Deebo Samuel 16 / 77 / 1405
Adam Thielen 13 / 67 / 828
D.J. Moore 17 / 93 / 1157
A.J. Brown 13 / 63 / 869
Brandin Cooks 16 / 90 /1037
Ja'marr Chase 17 / 81 / 1455
Calvin Ridley 5 / 31 / 281
MIke Williams 16 / 76 / 1146
Robert Woods 9 / 45 / 556
Ceedee Lamb 16 / 79 / 1102
Diontae Johnson 16 / 107 / 1161
Hunter Renfroe 17 / 103 / 1038

Jaylen Waddle 16 / 104 / 1015

They also questioned his ability to catch too.
Who?? He has great hands. Not so much great agility making moves out there, but he is a good athlete.. I just don’t get why you can’t admit he isn’t a perfect player

Though I agree Mahomes is arguably the best QB in Football right now, great receivers do tend to help their QB quite a bit.

Don't be surprised with Hill now being in Miami, Mahomes stats go down, while Tua's go up a bit.
Finally, a little "common sense"!
It will be interesting to review these "positions" at the end of the season.
We could call it a "Lemming" roast - LOL

Defensive end ratings:

Emmanuel Ogbah: 83 (11th tie overall)
Adam Butler: 69 (75th tie)

LInebackers:
Melvin Ingram: 84 (22nd tie)
Jerome Baker: 79 (41st tie)
Andrew Van Ginkel: 77 (56th tie)
Jaelen Phillips: 76 (65th tie)
Brennan Scarlett: 71 (111th tie)
Elandon Roberts: 70 (122nd tie)
Sam Eguaven: 70 (122nd tie)
Channing Tindall: 68 (153rd tie)
Duke Riley: 66 (185th tie)
Porter Gustin: 65 (207th tie)
Cameron Goode: 63 (251st tie)
Darius Hodge: 61 (294th tie)
Calvin Munson: 59 (310th tie)

Looks like they took players who could play end/outside linebacker hybrids and listed them as linebackers in the game.

Of note -- on Ingram and Phillips: from a pure speed rushing standpoint, Phillips does fare well (86 SP, 90 AC). Ingram doesn't fare well from a speed standpoint but has nice strength and great awareness.

Brandon Jones should be higher. Rowe and Needham could be too

Wilkins at 78 is as disrespectful as X at 89. Wilkins should be in the mid-upper 80s
