The Madden Curse has already struck. Favre is on the cover of Madden 09 in a Green Bay jersey and he is a Jet when the game comes out. Let's hope that curse is real and continues through the season.
 
He's started 275 consecutive games including the playoffs, including a game after which his father passed away. The only way Brett Favre isn't playing a game is if he gets hit by a Mack truck on the way to the stadium. Even then he'd probably take the first snap in his wheelchair to keep his streak alive...

Id say if a guy who has started 275 games gets hurt this season; its safe to say the madden jinx is for real.


Plus he hasnt had a real offseason (he admited he isnt in the best shape) which increases his chances of getting hurt.

I don't want him to get hurt just play bad.

I honestly believe Favre would do anything it took to either brake a record or keep his streak alive. If he gets hurt dont be surprised if he comes out at takes the first snap of a game. It would be cool to see Joey put him to sleep week one. knock him out of commision for the rest of the season.
 
I must admit i will be going to a few games jsut to see him play. I think he still has 2 years left in the tank.

The Curse isn't always about getting hurt. Sometimes the guy just has a terrible year, and I think the Curse will be upheld yet again this year. Brett's taken the summer off, is going to a new system, and an offense with inferior talent. He's going to take some time to get adjusted and will start shaky. At some point, he's going to just start slinging, and it'll be 05-06 all over again.
 
I think the curse will go crazy because of Favre being on the cover in a Packers jersey while playing for the Jets in the real world. The only logical conclusion is that the curse will exempt Green Bay and New York and curse Miami because they are the only other team in the AFC East that wears a resemblance of green. :lol:
