Madden is an idiot!

His whole speil about the reason Miami had on different uniforms tonight was for marketing was just plain out stupid. It would be true if they wore a new jersey, but their aqua jersey is already their best seller. I don't think the market for full football unis is very big. He would have been corect if he was speaking how the Chargers wore their powder blues, but it is completly out of context when talking about the Dolphins. I was very surprised when Al agreed with him. Michales is usually pretty intelligent.

Did you all see the look on Madden's face when Zsonka was talking about how the Dolphin's hostory has been short yet eventful, and he compared it to the Raiders. Madden didn't look like he wanted to hear that......

Madden was all over Csonka's jock during that segment.

He was all over Ricky's jock all night too. I found it annoying. I liked how he diagramed the counter runon Madden 2003, then Ricky follows up running the counter with a 64 yarder to the house. What a coincidence......

Madden actually makes the game less enjoyable for me. Rather than commenting on something and moving on, or allowing Al Michaels to make some kind of witty remark, he rambles on forever about nothing. Assuming he's back next year I'm going to be hoping that the 'Fins play all of their prime time games on Sunday night as Madden is the best example of a labotomy gone bad I've ever seen.

Memo to ABC: Bringing Madden on board was the worst thing you've ever done. Heck, I'd rather listen to Dennis Miller in the booth than "Meat Head" Madden, at least he had some intelligence!

I dunno. I hated Dennis Miller so much. Every time he made one of his ridiculous jokes, I wanted to jump into a helicopter propeller so the pain would stop. Even though Madden's senile remarks are annoying, its still better than Dennis Miller......

i actually thought that what csonka said in the booth had madden in awe. Csonks speech at midfield was classic! he gave all the credit to his linemen and the thing about the size of their hearts and their asses was a thing of beauty! when madden had to say something after csonk in the booth, he just sounded stupid. although i think deep down he has so much respect for csonk cus he was a warrior and has so much character! some thing madden has lost cus he is a media whore now.:monkey:

Overall, I like Madden.He is quite knowledgeable.He just rambles about nothing too often.

... in this case, these aren't throw back jersey's. If he was talking about throw back jerseys he has a point. Heyat least he recognized something was different! :D

I think Madden is the BEST in the business. There is no better X's and O's TV guy out there. Madden is a football brain, plus he's funny to listen to.

I think he's a good mix of football knowledge and football sense of humor. He just reminds me of my old OL coach, I have to like him. :D
