790 AM Reported that Tommy Maddox and the Miami Dolphins are close to an agreement.

Yay or Nay?

Some people are now saying they're going after Griese too so I don't know what to believe.

IMO I think Griese goes to Chicago where he has a real chance to start.

He will cost alot more than Maddox tho

I would have to say yay. He is one of the best backup quarterbacks on the market and if Culpepper (hopefully not jinxing anything) go down, then Im comfortable letting Maddox handle the offense.

You know, if the season started and Daunte wasn't completley ready yet I'd be alright with Maddox behind center. I mean, just give Ronnie the load until Culpepper can step in.

Well, I hope Mr. XFL plays like the MVP he was in the XFL. Because when he was with the Steelers he was terrible.

Even if we do sign him, I still think that we might bring in another QB or maybe draft one in the middle of the draft. Maddox did "good" with Mularkey, so maybe he can do "good" here too. I still which we brought in Anthony Wright or Jamie Martin.

heard the same things about maddox. they said on 790 that he was close to a deal. i personnally wouldnt mind him. i would actually prefer griese back, anyone seen him perform before he went down last season. he was pretty good at managing. i also heard rumors about one jay fiedler...you guys ever heard of him?

Yeah that is Wanny's son right???:sidelol:

The guy sure was off and on during his tim as a starter in Pittsburgh, however I think he would be a huge step above having Sage as a backup, and he would fit in easily with Mularkey.
