Out of the 3 guys here, the 1 I'd be willing to get rid is Schulters!!! Madison is still by far our best CB, and he is still one of the better ones in the league, all these posts about how we should just dump him or demote him to nickel or dime back are truly truly rediculous. Schulters has be "ok" but that's about it, he makes some plays, but lets A LOT of plays up as well........(that coverage on Drew Bennet where he let up the TD was about the worse I have EVER seen, he had to of been embarrased after that). Now for Holliday.......The guy has played just as good as anybody on the D-line not named Jason Taylor, and he is/has been a very very important piece to the defenses success this year. Now the only reason I can even see why some of you could make an arguement to keep Schulters and get rid of Holliday is because Schulters salary will probably be reasonable, while we all know Sam makes a lot of $$$ and after the year Holliday is having he might want to get paid some big Bucks as well. If I had to though I'd get rif Of Frerotte and keep both of these guys, or at least one of them.

Although I agree with what you are saying about Madison and Holliday, I really wouldn't mind seeing Schulters in Miami next year... not EVERY player on our team can go to the pro-bowl and I think Schulters has done enough to stay (although hopefully he can improve a bit next year)

The only guy i want gone is Sam...Vonnie and Lance should be back next year.

And allow Reggie Howard to cover the #1 or maybe #2 WR next year?? LOL I think not, remove Howard, find another CB and put Madison back where he's best, covering their #2.

As soon as I read that you would want to part with Schulters, I knew that you would bring up the Bennett play.

That coverage was made to look a lot worse than it was because the pass was grossly underthrown......Schulters had the right angle to defend a well thrown ball.......but that's wasn't the case....and the result looked embarrassing. Just wasn't as bad as it looked.

But you shouldn't judge hi by that play, he has been solid/good all year and unless they have a better option, I want him back.

If I had to let one go, it would be Holliday. He has been solid mostly, and pretty good at times (like against the Titans).....but I think he can be more easily replaced, even w/o bringing in anyone from the outside. I REALLY want Traylor back for another year...and I'd like to see Wright start beside him. We have Vickerson already for depth and Carter can also play inside.

This isn't to say that I'm on the 'Get rid of Vonnie' bandwagon or anything....but out of those 3, he's the one I'd give up.

If we bring in a vet CB, then we should let go Madison, if we don't, then we let Schulter's walk in FA. I don't know if you noticed or not, but Schulters has been beaten pretty badly in the deep coverage and he has gave up some TD's for us. Holliday def needs to stay because he is playing pretty well at DT.

I'd keep all 3.....I think Lance has done a good job and will do better next year...I'm hoping we can get a god SS (Roman Harper in the 3rd?)but I'd keep Lance....Holliday's done a great job too...Sam's not the same corner he used to be but he's still not that bad and unless we get a top corner(Ty Law?)then we need to keep him but he needs to take a cut.

Ozzy rules!!

Keep Vonnie and Lance, Send Sam packing!

i agree 100%!!! sam was great in his hay day but he's lost a few steps.:dolphins:

Keep Vonnie.

The other two, especially Sam I am can move on down the line...

We need to upgrade both the corner and safety positions...

Vonnie and lance can stay, Madison and his lost step and timely penalties along with his salary can go somewhere else.

Keep all three, but only if Madison is willing to restructure. Sam isn't a bad corner, but he isn't playing at a level commensurate to his salary, either. At this point, I would relish the opportunity for Sam to cover the #2 receiver, but he just can't handle the speedy #1's anymore. A pay cut, and I would be happy to have Madison back, but we still need another veteran FA at the corner position.

I'd love to keep all 3 as well, but with some changes. I'd like Sam to restructure, and I'd like Schulters to move to Strong Safety ( I believe he is playing Free Safety? or at least he was beginning this season prior to the TeBucky injury). Schulters looks very weak in pass coverage in general and that was his problem in Tennessee the past 2 years, before the foot injury. I think Yeremiah Bell and Travares Tillman are great playmakers in Saban's defense because they fly to ball and are very good in pass coverage. I think you'll see both of those guys back. Also, I think we'll move Travis Daniels to safety, so I think we have more depth at the safety position than people think, especially with resigning Lance (because I believe TeBucky is signed through next year). We really need Sam to restructure. If I'm correct I believe Vonnie is signed through next year as well.
