Orlando also has an affinity for small forward Danny Granger, enough to bring him back today for a second workout. Quite possibly, no player's stock has soared more the past month. He measured 6-8 1/2 and a chiseled 225, and his vertical leap (34 inches) and wingspan (7-1) should allow him to be a defensive stopper.

The Magic had five representatives on hand to watch Granger work against Syracuse's Hakim Warrick earlier this month in Chicago. Apparently they liked what they saw.

"I'm not heavy or really that big but I do like to play physical basketball and I think teams like that about me," Granger said following the session against Warrick. "I think I could help a team like Orlando out."

Granger is a monster...only problem with him is hes really not that athletic and not that fast, but the rest of his skills are good enough! He would be a great pickup for the magic pearing him with dwight howard to form a good Foward combo.

That would be a great pickup. Grant Hill's calling is as a Bill Walton-esque Sixth Man; reduced minutes, and he can come off the bench and make things happen when needed.

Exactly :D

But in doing so they'd have to trade up...imo i think jameer nelson is gonna be special so at all costs dont trade him, this is what ya do

Trade both seconds and your first and move up into range to get granger

Grab granger :D

Then heres what the starting roster should look like

PG Jameer Nelson [If given the chance to start should average over 16 ppg]
SG Steve Francis [sg in a pg's body...is a star though]
SF Grant Hill [Is a star when healthy]
PF Danny Granger [Hes 230 lbs. and very physical]
C Dwight Howard [Move him over to center]

I'd say you would win atleast 40 games with that

Do you think Howard can be a successful center? He may do decent there but the Magic didnt draft him to be an average player.

Well, I know you love Nelson so much that you're on the verge of naming your first-born Jameer (;)), but that's a lineup that will get KILLED on the boards. No, Hill's best role is as a 30 minute 6th man, and get a center who can crash the boards to take some heat off Howard.

He can, but he shouldn't. Put another way, Howard can be a good center or a phenomenal power forward. Which would you rather have?
