Just from my overall observation in this young season, the good and young teams are throwing the ball all over the field with velocity, when needed of course, freeing up the running game and on the flip side there secondary are sporting athletic fast hard hitting DB's. Taking all this into account Miami has a low velocity thrower in CP, IMO our recieving corp's are young and have some talent that will come, there fast guys with the execption of Wilford. (similar to WHS you could say but they have a strong thrower to take advantage of that speed when needed of course). On the D side Parcell's and co. should have at least payed a small percentage of time on the secondary at least. We had a variety of players coming back from major injuries, questionable first round picks from the previous coaching staff, basically they were not good enough.
I'm not a bielever in starting rookie QB's there first yr but givin Miami's state in comparison to the rest of the young teams in the league, It might have been a better option by going with the stronger arm Henne for the Offence and even with the D there were some athletic good young hard hittng DB's in the draft and FA, Miami could've at least picked up a couple. The only DB's we should have kept is Bell and Allen, from that point theres a huge drop off in talent, at this point I would go with Henne and look for a better option than Crocker and Goodman, theres not much else we can do until next season for this secondary.
Here's hoping for better times in the near future for the Dolphins

Yo are pretty much correct Bill P though has his master blue print he works off of. First he lays the foundation of the team which is the OL and DL and then moves after what he calls the accessories like the WR, RB and CB positions.

Well that's the fastest way to make the team competative. You can blow your load on 1 or 2 guys and still not be any better, or you can start at the core and work your way out. It's the smart thing to do, although it is like watching paint dry waiting to get better.

if we could have another draft like the one we had we are in good shape

If you want to talk about speed and skill players, this organization blew its load over these past years on players like: TED GINN JR, RONNIE BROWN, RICKY WILLIAMS, DEREK HAGAN, JASON ALLEN....

but how many of these other teams are COMPLETELY rebuilding..from the Front Office to to the top and bottom of the depth charts?? I mean IMO its kind of hard to compare us to other teams right now with all the setbacks this franchise has had in the past 8 years
