I think it was wrong not to keep him on the active roster. Look, third and long he could help. This team has problems with third and long. They don't blitz enough so bring him in on third and long. I bet he makes a difference.

And why would he make the difference, Because he is 4th on the Depth Chart?

Did not show anything in Preseason?

Or because he put up stats in the minor league?
 
Yea because Wake is so much better pass rusher than Taylor or Porter.
There is a reason he was inactive while the other linebackers were active.
People truly are rating him too much by what he did in Canada. Wake is a solid prospect but has shown nothing to get on the field yet.
 
I agree with Wake.. But our problem was lack of offense today.

Not defense.

Apparently the coaches agree with the fact that Wake isn't ready. Preseason showed little and mattered little, hence todays game.
Wake is 4th on the depth chart for a reason. He's limited and raw. His contract is another Wilford.

actually his contract is like 4 years 2.3 mill so not close to Wilford.
 
I not mentioning Wake.... i didn't like our constant 4 man rush, especially on third downs... did it way to often and applied no pressure allowing Ryan to pick us apart with ease.

some blitzes would of been more helpful, we barely blitzed today it seemed to me. a little more aggressiveness and action defensively could help to possibly (hopefully) create some turnovers, which we definitely didn't come close to doing.

I didn't mean by monetary standards. I meant in a waste of a contract and roster spot. How many games Wilford play in last year? I believe Wake is on his way to being a here and there player.

Couldn't blitz when Tony G was running rampant on our LB's and S's.
 
Our pressure on the QB was pretty good today. I don't think Wake would have added anything...
 
true that, he is tough to even contain, but some creative blitzes... pop him and delay blitz, something could of helped. we sent four way to much in my opinion, andit accomplished no rush at all

Amazing how Cameron Wake a player our coaching staff make inactive with every other linebacker being active is being mentioned as a reason we did not win today. I guess the 4th string LB is the most popular player on the team

More sacks than Porter after 1 game ... this is why hes on our team.. most people knew he was explosive... the coaches just wanted to bring him along slowly because no offense were not just gonna sit JT or JP just like that.. they are very accomplished NFL LBs. Bottom line is, he got an opportunity and he took advantage of it! Welcome to the Cam Wake Bandwagon:up:
