It was interesting that the fins were moving the ball with some authority and the Bills 'D' did not have a satisfactory answer for it. Mularkey continued to call passing plays in spite of this.. When Mularkey was here,he always talked up the 'power running game' and he almost always abandonded it on game day.I was surprised that we didn't see anything from Mularkey's grab bag of 'gimmick' plays on offense....
Mularkey is running exactly the same crap play calling that we had to endure when he was was the head coach in Buffalo.Mularkey's nickname in Buffalo among Bills fans was 'Meathead'. You guys are finding out quickly that the name fits perfectly, and Mularkey had earned it.
Good luck.

These fans just can't grasp this. Meathead is killing your team like he did ours.

I'm not ready to blame Mualrkey for this loss. I was at the game, and the only thing on offense that really looked bad, was our QB. The playcalling was fine, it was the execution of those play calls that went bad.....

Look, I know everyone wants to talk about how bad he was in Buffalo, but this isn't the same offense. This is Scott Linehan's offense, the same one we were running a year ago successfully. Had Mularkey come into Miami, and installed his own system, then yes I would be placing blame on him personally...

However, that's not the case. He's not calling "his plays", we're running the same exact system that Culpepper ran in Minnesota, and is "supposedly very familiar with". I'm not going to blame Mike Mularkey for Culpepper's int's / sacks / fumbles / poor decisions, that's on Pep....and Pep alone....

Such a convenient defense for the play calling. Mularkey went with several straight all-pass drives despite Culpepper's complete ineffectiveness (save for garbage time).

Uhm 15 rushes for your stud back is horrid at best. We could not stop the run yet its pass after pass.

Who do you blame for this? Oh yea Mike the meathead Malarkey.

I blame Culpepper, and his horrid decision making. Mularkey doesn't have anything to do with that aspect of Culpepper's game, you know, the one being played on the field.....

I want to see Harrington running the same offense. If he struggles the same as Culpepper has thus far, then I'll shift my concerns towards Mularkey instead of the QB position.....

Botton Line : We generated enough offense to win that game yesterday. The turnovers, and mistakes made by Culpepper were our undoing. Hey, this is just my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. Just because I'm not willing to throw Mularkey under the bus at this time, doesn't mean I don't see what's going on here. Offensively, our QB has been the main issue / weakness, with our OL running a close second. If those two areas were stronger, perhaps the execution of the plays being called down would be more successful....

First, learn to spell or your right there with him as a meathead. It's Mularkey.

Second, his playcalling is was often dictated by the game situation. You can't keep running the ball with all the offsides and 2nd and 16's. We had open WR's on several plays but Daunte killed the drives. Mularkey had confidence in him and maybe that was the reason. The difference here, however, is that if Saban wants to run the ball more, Mularkey will hear about it. Saban will stand up to all his coaches. Beyond that, we weren't running well b/c our line was blocking the Bills. It was pretty much all R.Brown's effort. I'll reserve judgment on whether Mularkey will be a liability for the season until after a few more games.

yeah, you can keep running the ball. Buffalo did it yesterday with a 3.6 ypc average. What you can't do is abandon the run, which Malarkey does, has done, and will keep doing. Especially when you are playing a team with one of the worst run D's in the league. You get the correlation now? Meathead - throwing against a bad run D.... Malarkey.

Plain and simple...the Phins mistake was not drafting Ronnie Brown (I think he's great), nor was it aquiring Culpepper...it was hiring Mularkey to run the offense. He single handedly destroyed McGahee's season last year, and just completely took every bit of confidence out of JP Losman.

McGahee and Brown have a lot in common...and most importantly they are BOTH huge forces that most teams would love to have...yet Mularkey thinks they need to be taken out on third down for some half-@ssed substitute running back...and then take them out again in goal line situations. Why???? Any idiot could tell you that these guys need to be on the field whenever possible...

i completely agree with you!!!!!!!!
i'm sorry... how you dont throw deep on that defense... run up the middle... is beyond me!
i am sooo terribly tired of seeing 10 yard :tantrum: passes... this team has some great recievers... and has an acurate QB with a rocket arm.... use it!
