Not the team. Us.

Just finished reading a few threads. Apparently, we are standing by for a crushing loss. This will, of course, be followed by calling for heads, front office, etc. Whole thing is for ****.

Well, 16 years of misery will do that to a guy. We all know that, for sure.

If Miami makes it to the playoffs, great.

But honestly, who here expected that? I know, I know, now that is all possibility all bets are off and we're taking it all.

But if we don't beat the Ravens, will it all come crashing down? Doubt it.

With the injuries we have, new everything, and a well ingrained tradition of ****ing up, I'd say this year is not a fluke. It is a beginning.

Win lose or draw, I believe we are a real team again.

And who knows? Just because we lost the games we were predicted to, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, San Diego, it doesn't mean we we lose to the Ravens.

Oh, wait......

Pessimism is just a way to protect the heart, that's all. Everyone wants to believe.

It's been a good year whether we win or not Sunday. Many who were predicting 4 - 6 wins will be falling apart on here if we lose, it's inevitable. If certain players aren't good there there will be "I told you so" threads and certain posters (Aswi, dlockz) will emerge from the woodwork. Wait and see!

We are going into Baltimore and will play smash mouth hard ass football. Plain and simple, teams already fear playing us because of our physical play...I think we go in there and punch them right in the face and kick their dicks in the dirt. **** those **** ass black birds.

WE WILL WIN. That's what I expect. If we fall short, so be it. This season is not a failure. We have found our coach, and franchise QB. We have tasted the wining tradition. The ground is now set.

Yes, all the right things will be said now because the guys who will be posting aren't here. They're away dying to come out of the woodwork for a glorious return to Finheaven when the Dolphins lose.

I had Miami going 5-11. I'll be here, as I have been for 12 years, everyday win or lose.

dlockz posts every day in the Political Forum. He isn't off the site.

I see it a little differently. I think this forum is full of many intelligent, objective and thoughtful posters. I feel proud that the score prediction thread was a mix of close win and close loss results rather than a bunch of 'homer' blowout score predictions. I think this is realism instead of 'same old Dolphins' pessimism.

Yes but he only seems to post over here when we're losing. I noticed this awhile ago and he hasn't had a main forum post since the game thread vs Pittsburgh. Coincidence?

When members do that, I question if they are really a Dolphins fan.

I'm not particularly optimistic about the outcome, but unlike in past, do think we have a legitimate punchers' chance to upset them.

Either way, whenever we lose, FH is not a pleasant place due to all the finger-pointing recriminations. While I regale the wins, I try to stay away for a few days until the most rabid of the Dr Pavlovian pooches have drooled themselves out. I'm sure that some of the newly low-profile detractors will find their renewed enthusiasm.

What's funniest to me is the game time gloom, doom and blame over-reactions before the team has turned the tables and won. Then there's the inevitable derision, and force-feeding of crow afterwards (and I've been guilty myself of that). If it were up to me, there'd be a moratorium on the creation of game-time new threads aside from the actual game thread itself.

Can you blame us? I expect a loss on Sunday and a 2-3 in the last 5 games. 9-7 won't get us in the playoffs but I expected 7-9 or 8-8 so hey, we'd be moving in the right direction.
