There’s also the private respect Thomas has gotten from the likes of New England coach Bill Belichick, who has privately called Thomas the best linebacker of this generation. When Thomas was let go by the Dolphins in February as they began their rebuilding process, Belichick immediately called Thomas and asked him to join the Patriots.

“Couldn’t do it,” said Thomas, who still considers himself a Dolphin in many ways. “They paid me my respect in Miami when they let me go, so I have no bad feelings. They didn’t need to throw me no parade or anything. I knew what they were thinking and they were straight with me.”

hell yeah Zach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you deserve to be here more than Taylor.....well....Im not so sure....after watchin you do the Soulja Boy and all.....lol....you looked like you were drunk:beer1:

Rest assured Zach wasn't let go because of attitude, lack of play, or money. Zach was let go because, to be honest, the man shouldn't be playing anymore. He has given everything he had for the Dolphins to win football games, including every inch of his body.

The cowboys can't possibly believe he'll play all 16 games and the playoffs for them this year. I couldn't beleive they cut Ayodele because Zach shouldn't be playing every down and hell, maybe he should sit out part of the season for the Boys, save him for the playoffs.

Hell of a player though. I wish him luck on Dallas, it'd be great to see him get a shot at a title.

Yeah, I saw him on the network the other day in his Dallas uniform. Was hard to look at. I remember him saying something like he's proud to wear the star, but it still doesn't feel right. He obviously still has a lot of love for the Phins. Such a classy guy. Zach has so much integrity, it's a real shame playing all those years with him Jason didn't pick up any.

We will all miss Zach. I'm sure when he's finished playing football he will sign a one day contract with Miami and retire a Dolphin.

Unfortunatetly Zach is one play from being forced to retire...one shot to the head and that's it. I never thought I'd say this but I hope Dallas goes the distance this year so Zach can wear the ring he deserves.

No one would dare question Zach's ability and heart....

The only real reason we let him go was because of his concussions. Those were definetley an issue, especially based on the fact that there were lingering effects in which did not aloow him to play most of the season.

The big questions is not "can he still play?"

It's more like, "Can he stay healthy?"

Wouldnt see him on DWTS...would we?

Actually you did if you watched. He was in the audience, next to his sister (Katina Taylor), supporting his brother-in-law 2 weeks ago. However, I didn't see him the other night at the final.

Right on the nose with that one, if i was the GM/ coach i dont know i could live withmyself if i contributed to his poor health especially if it get very bad.

I agree. A far cry from his brother-in-law. Zach new what the score was here and accepted it. What a class act, always.

I am personally terrified of the fact that zach will be facing brandon jacobs twice a year.
I mean i know he will stop him but jacobs might end his career in one hit.
