MAN UP Andrew Luck!

I'd rather just draft Luck, but it wouldn't be the WORST thing in the world to trade the 1st overall pick for a king's ransom... More great teams have been built that way than any other I feel like. (IE Dallas)

I agree, in the worst case scenario that the Dolphins have the #1 pick and Luck refuses to play for Miami, i say draft him and take another team for all its worth, Raiders just gave up a 1st and a 2nd that could turn into another 1st for an aging rusty QB who hasnt been the same since a major injury and has basically been a turnover machine the past few seasons, i think the Dolphins would be able to get a lot more for the best QB prospect since Elway

Why even worry about it yet? We will have to go 0 -16 or 1 - 16 to have any chance at Luck. We still have games against Denver, K.C., and Washington. Plus, N.E. and the jets at seasons end, who may have nothing to play for and would like nothing more than to screw us out of that pick. We also have a coach who has nothing to gain from "sucking" and that would include any interm coach. Unlike Denver, Indy, and maybe even St. Louis who's coaches will still be around to pick Luck.

Because sadly, its the only thing to worry about at this point, not like we are discussing playoff scenarious and a 5 game winning streak to even get the Phins to .500, depressing as it is, when your 0-5 with a backup QB and a coach who the whole world knows will be Fired, theres nothing else to look forward to than the draft...

I think this whole "pulling a power play" refusing to go to an NFL Franchise is complete BULL ***, you are a college player, you are about to get paid MILLIONS of dollars to have the priveledge to be the face of an NFL Franchise on the basis of not even stepping on an NFL field or throwing a single NFL pass, anyone who has the chance to be drafted should be thanking that franchise that drafted them for taking the chance and investing Millions in him for the next 4-5 years at least

IMO this kinda crap should be outlawed by the Commisioner, if you enter the draft, you enter the draft, you shouldnt be able to "play god" and pick and choose your team and demand things ultimately saying "Im better than your crappy team, you dont deserve me"

Stop asking for advice of other spoiled NFL families and make your own decision, Eli Manning looked like the biggest wimp/sore loser/cry baby when he refused to play for the Chargers as if they had a disease or something

If your that dam good or you think your that dam good and your a competitor, you should look at being drafted to even the worst franchise in the NFL as an opportunity to be the savior and turn it all around and prove that you can carry a team/franchise on your shoulders, anything else only makes that player look like a whiney little girl who cant hack it if hes on a "bad team"

You know nothing about what Luck is thinking for starters.

Second, I can not disagree more with this post and this small minded line of thinking in general. Should someone tell you where you have have to live and work? I don't know if you went to college, but what if some a**hat in Fargo, ND 'drafted' you to come work for his failing company? Should you be required to go work for him? I applaud Luck for working hard to maximize his talent to the point he is able to control his own destiny. He is the 1%. I am gunuinely happy for every person in this country that succeeds to his level.

Don't believe everything you read in The Weekly World News.

#1 did i say i know what Luck is thinking, NO, everything is based off speculation, this is a fan forum not the New York Times so take it easy

#2 Yes i did go to college, thanks for asking

#3 comparing being paid millions and millions of dollars to play a sport for a living should in no way be compared to the "real life" work 99% of everyone else has to do, in some cases people dont care about the circumstances of the job they have to do because it pays the bills, Luck will be paid Millions by regardless which team drafts him let alone the millions from endorsement deals, so theres were your argument becomes not worth talking about

btw,the first guy that did that was John Elway for those of you who don't know. He did not want to be drafted by the colts at that time and said he'd only go to a west coast team. Terry Brashaw was very upset about that. I remember him saying that if Elways was so good then he should go to a bad Colts team and make it better. He was asked if they were playing the broncos that year and Terry said "yes and we're going to kick their ***"So before Manning did that to SD, Elways had done it to the colts and hence, I never did like Elway. If Luck really doesn't want to play for us then we should drafted him if we have the chance and trade him for a bunch of picks.

Ozzy rules!!

I think once you are drafted that should be it. I think right now you can refuse to play for that team and re-enter the draft the following year. They need to change that. If you get drafted you play for the team that drafted you or you don't play at all.

*golf claps* heard under center from:

UMiss phenom
Archie Manning through his NO Saints Career

WVA passing record holder and 2nd round pick
Oliver Luck in the midst of going 2-14 as the Houston Oilers starting QB
nice signature, send it to ross

Andrew is manning up actually. He is taking complete control.

The problem is you don't like the fact he doesn't want to play for a culture where the fans are losers. He has clearly stated he doesn't like the SFL bull****. He clearly said he wouldn't play for a fanbase like that.

Oh people may enjoy the SFL mantra.. but understand.. you reap what you sow.

Idiotic, short sighted post. Who the heck thought Detroit was an up and coming franchise 3 yrs ago? Or how about San Fran before Harbaugh took over. Things change very quickly in the NFL. Please define a 'culture where the fans are losers'. I don't even know what that means and it sounds foolish. How are Phin fans any different than other fans of a losing team? Its obvious the fans are frustrated as would any fans be.
Sparano will not be coaching this team next season and I suspect Ireland won't be around either.
On the balance the Phins are still one of the winningest franchises in the NFL over the last 40yrs and have a storied history. I don't know how old you are, but I recall throughut the 70's and 80's the Packers were doormats. They had limited success with Lynn Dickey and Majkowski, but no real success until Favre.
Did you just start watching NFL football 10yrs ago?

the OP needs to take a chill pill. Luck has NEVER once said he would do anything like that

im chilled, thanks though, did i say "Luck just said" NO, its based all on speculation and rumors that have been flying around the past couple days, so maybe you should stop putting words in my post and just not read so much into it
