I am tired of seeing the teams with the best O-Lines in football (Denver, Tennessee, KC, New England, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Green Bay) always competetive and always dangerous on offense yet the Fins REFUSE TO ADDRESS THE REAL PROBLEM--our Offensive Line!

Wade Smith was pathetic. Give me a break! SPEND SOME $ on the O-LINE! Next years draft our #1 pick should be a O-Lineman, and the next 3 picks afterward. Don't make Feely another Griese because it wasn't Griese's fault last year he got hammered every game he played, nor is it Jay's or Feely's fault this year...when you are getting hit when you are handing off how the hell do you blame that on the QB? :yell:

Teams are gonna continue to blitz everyone against our line and Feely doesn't have the snaps with his receivers yet to compete...give him time to look for Chambers, McMichael, and Booker...and suddenly I guarantee you we start getting First downs and putting points on the board again..and giving our Stellar D a rest! Yes Dave you helped build us a strong 'D' but on behalf of all Fins FANS PLEASE GET US AN O-LINE!!!!!!

Go Fins! :)

Dude.....what do you think they did in the offseason? They signed Jeno James, this guy is a monster, and they forked over some serious cash. They went after Tate, who they offered a very hefty contract to. It's not the fins fault he is a Mormon, and wanted to live away from all the partying. They had a free-agent visit set up with Woody, before Detroit ridiculously overpaid. The Fins also signed McIntosh, this guy helped open holes fo LT in San Diego. Hang on, don't forget, they did whatever it took to draft Carey in the first round (the next best lineman).

Those are the facts, they tried very, very hard over the offseason. The only bad moved they made was letting Wade go, while trying to get Tate.

Now that you have the facts.....I ask you this, "Do you want some cheese with that wine?"

THey missed out on Tate just trying to save a few nickels and dimes. Same as Todd Wade. Nickel and diming the good guys. Woody took a look at what we got here and said, "No Offensive Line but himself, plus Dave Wannstedt?! I don't think so." He went to the lions not only cause they overpaid, but cause they actually have a head coach who will do what ever they need to do to win.

Yea Champ unbelievable job

That's the problem! Detroit overpaid for Woody--bull! That's what we need to do, pay and bring in the best! This team consistently refuses to pay the big bucks for the best. St. Clair? yea he's unbelievably talented isn't he.... I am looking forward to seeing Carey and McIntosh--those where decent moves...but guys like Wade Smith and St. Clair! GIVE ME A BREAK.

WE LOST TO CINCY DUDE! LOOK AT THE TALENT ON OUR 'D'! EVENTUALLY THEY ARE GONNA HAVE A BAD GAME OR GET DISGRUNTLED WITH OUR O-LINE LIKE MCMICHAEL DID (about time) JUST BECAUSE WE NEVER SPEND THE $ FOR THE BORING O-LINEMAN!

In a perfect world we would be able to sign Woody, Tate, Jones and anybody else to mega-deals, still have a great defense, keep Ricky, and still be under the cap. The top two free agents didn't want to play in Miami for various reason (whatever they may be), Rick tried to get Tate, he tried very hard. The guy didn't want to raise his Mormon kids in Miami. You can't blame that on Rick. He went to Chicago over Miami......Dude.....Chicago. Not because they are a great team, because of location.

He did the best he could do under the circumstances. I don't think you could do a better job.

Let me guess, you would sign Tate, Woody and James all to deals with $10-20 Mil signing bonuses and 5-6 yr deals worth $20-30 Mil.....right?

The numbers don't lie. Free agents get to pick where they want to play. They didn't pick Miami. Tate's reason wasn't for money either. He was quoted as saying Miami offered a very good deal. Give Rick a break dude!

Yimmy did not believe in spending money on the OL and he believed that they could be had in the lower rounds in the draft. It hasnt changed much under Wanny and RS.

The problem I have is that they pass on good players like Pete Kendall and Ron Stone who weren't commanding top-dollar on the market. And we gave up a 2nd rounder to pick Wade Smith with a 3rd round pick. A few picks later we choose Taylor Whitley. We gave up a 4th round pick to spend the 19th overall pick on Carey. We wouldn't have been forced into a 'need' pick in this last draft if we would have atleast negotiated on a contract extension with Todd Wade which he says the Phins never did. He would have accepted the extension because I don't think he thought any team would pay as much as the Texans did for his services. The FO made some wrong moves with this line. We could have gotten Orlando Brown, Ephraim Salaam. We picked Whitley over I believe Montrae Holland in that draft. I still think Vernon Carey will be a good player for us but Tony Wise shows no reason for me to believe he'll be able to turn this line around. True Tait didn't want to live in Miami, that wasn't about money; and Woody cancelled his visit but there were other players now doing good jobs who weren't very expensive. PETE KENDALL!! And they let him go to the JETS!! Unacceptable...Sorry for the rant...If only Olin Kreutz would have chose more money over loyalty to the Bears a few years ago!! I know it's bad when you wish a player would have shown greed over loyalty but man Kreutz improves a whole line.
