Mando Article on Martin Situation

I'm just telling you what I heard. I guess the medication part doesn't have merit? Regardless, that means Suh and Haynesworth didn't earn their reputation because they had a "mean streak" too, huh?

If he was truly smart, he wouldn't be trying to prove anything by starting a twitter war. That just tells me he is a damn meathead.
So saying he doesn't blame anyone is "starting a war" ?? WOW :rolleyes2:

Incognito has an anger issue. There was an interview from where I don't remember but he is medicated because of his anger issues if I remember correctly. He didn't get his reputation in the NFL for being dirty because it was something people felt like giving him. He EARNED it.

If you can't prove Incognito was/is medicated then just STOP
with the "an interview from where I don't remember" crap

Really? How is this working out for you?

Incognito came to an odd realization: Despite his ability to block with the best of them, two of the NFL's worst teams at the time wanted nothing to do with him. In that moment, the dirtiest player in the NFL was ready to come clean.

"I felt like I had lost control of the situation," Incognito said. "And that's when I really started taking the therapy seriously."

Incognito's doctor would soon prescribe him Paxil, a medication used to treat a range of disorders, from depression to general anxiety. And while, to this day, Incognito has never been formally diagnosed with any specific mental illness, he knows the medicine has helped change his life.

Simple google search. The guy has mental issues and he admits it enough that he sought help. That alone usually tells someone that they themselves see there is an issue. Doesn't mean you can't fall off the wagon. Happens to most people with mental issues at one point or another.

Look. I'm not saying that Cogs isn't a "meathead," if by meathead you mean someone w. a little more brawn than brains. Big whip-tee-do-da.

What I am saying is that there's nothing wrong w. being a meathead, especially in the NFL. it's not criminal and it doesn't tear a team apart.

What DOES tear a team apart is a freekin' prima dona passive-aggressive mental-skirt-wearing fool. "Look like Tarzan, mind like Jane," will kill a team every time.

That passive-aggressive crap just is locker room cancer. Every time. Mark it down.

Miami lost a second round pick on Martin. But getting rid of him will rid the locker room of a prima dona Jane and also a very, very subpar player.

Win/win. Cut him asap and the team wins.

What I fear here is that this will turn into the Saints bounty program situation. Everyone knows that rookie hazing, rookie day, and all kinds of shenanigans go on with NFL teams, but the NFL will seek to make an example out of one team in order to avoid an outcry or prevent future legal liabilities.

Just like everyone knew about 'pay for performance.'

and then they'll look foolish once the Dolphins ultimately win the appeals, like the Saints did.

The fact that Cogs is taking medicine to control his anger is only more proof that Martin is throwing crap against the wall.

Cogs saw that he had a problem and sought professional help. And by many accounts, it's caused him to be a POSITIVE in the locker room, not a negative. I've talked to some guys who love Cogs. Old school, hard corps. Making him out to be a monster b.c. he takes medication is simply... wrong.

I will pass judgement more when we get the entire picture. The only thing I can rely on now is a player who is being treated for mental issues that HE HIMSELF sought treatment for when the NFL was about to basically force him out of the league because of his past transgressions. Now given his on field antics, I could very well picture a scenario where these actions are not only found on the football field. Hell Aaron Hernandez is facing murder charges and it was divulged that he went at it in the locker room with players including wes welker. Every scenario is different for sure but trends often surface with players like this and Incognito has quite the rap sheet on the field.

I find it interesting that this kind of crap could happen between adults but I guess it does. Who knows what skeletons Martin has in his closet. For all we know some players could know something and are dumb enough hang it over his head so he has to live in on a daily basis. Or he could be just like Ricky Williams and have some kind of anxiety issue and the NFL life is too much for him to handle.

Well, you didn't "Wait until more info" until you weighed in and smashed Cogs. So I called you out.

As for me, I'm willing to put money down that the person hurting this team is NOT Cogs but a Sissy-boy Martin. Nothing but a passive-aggressive, mental skirt. And very mediocre player.

So then what you are saying is that people who take medications are cured and they don't relapse? I can tell you first hand with true medical experience ( I have Doctor of Pharmacy degree) that this is not the case and often times people stop taking their meds or forget doses. I am not putting anything on Incognito because we don't know the entire story. However given his past, the burden is going to fall on Incognito to prove his innocence more than Martin to prove something significant happened in the eyes of most of the football circles and to a degree probably Goodell.

No more than anyone else has on Martin....

No. What I AM saying is that Cogs recognized he had a problem and sought professional help. And followed the advice (hence, turning his life around).

Martin, on the other hand, has not admitted to having a problem. Nor has he sought professional help until now. And he's hiding behind a team of lawyers over what he calls "bullying."

That pretty much reveals whole narrative right there. All the rest is just details.

The cancer here is Martin. Unresolved issues. Majorly passive aggressive. If you've ever been a leader of men in a military or football context, you know what the real cancer is...

I guess we can agree to just let the facts play out and the cards fall where they may. It's all conjecture at this point.

Agree. But I'm concerned for the effect on the team. The team is already limping through the season. A distraction to the level that this could become is very hurtful.

And that, imo, is not Cogs' fault, meathead though he may be.

Martin took his ball and ran home to mommy and daddy... and now calls down the wrath of media and money-hungry, politically-correct lawyers to fight his battles.

We live in a litigious society, built for false-accusation... built for legal abuse. And now the team is being bullied by a passive-aggressive, weak-minded individual raised in a litigious family.

Stinks to high heaven. But right, we need more facts.

All I care about is that Incognito stops giving up the 2-3 busted blocks a game and doesn't get Tannehill killed. That pretty much goes for the entire line.
