Mando: Dolphins discussed flyyn with philbin

Flynn has shown nothing that Matt Cassell didn't show in NE, or Kolb didn't show in Phi. I don't see why bringing in a QB who has made two total starts is going to be the move that takes us to respectability.

That would probably take us out of resigning Soliai...

Don't be too certain, with Bowles possibly staying as DC, they will try and find a way to get him back and get Flynn.

Bell and Fasano could be cap cuts and there is always the ability to ask someone else to restructure.

Money will talk to Flynn, but having Philbin in our corner certainly helps our chances.

Exactly we might just get the QB we want this off-season... If we get this done, who do we select w/ our 1st pick?

Or we can draft someone with 0 starts from the NFL draft.

It's this attitude that has caused us to not draft a 1st round QB.

Not sure how I feel about Flynn yet. His situation reminds me of Cassel a lot...just a hunch I guess. Still like the Philbin move!

If anyone would know it's Philbin. He has been working with him for years. I trust his judgement over 2 games.

stop crying...................Now that things r shaping up I can see all you haters starting to backpedal.

Last I checked not drafting a first round QB had more to do with us always thinking somebody else's backup could be the answer, which I find funny considering it's the exact thing you're suggesting.

Not once the Packers franchise him.

If they do they cannot then trade him per the new CBA so they will have to pay him more than Rodgers to be a backup.....will not happen.

Personally I think it's pretty ridiculous for anyone to sit here and act like they know whether or not Flynn is the answer considering he has 2 career starts to go along with being a pretty good preseason performer. Philbin knows more about Flynn than any us since he works with him every day, while we have 2 regular season starts and some preseason to go on. If Philbin thinks he can be the next Matt Schaub or what have you, I'm not in any position to disagree with him. If he doesn't think so, I'm fine with that too.
