Mando: Fins Raising Some Season Ticket $/Earlier Renewals

Ross has some balls. Put a winning product out first then raise prices. This fool can't do anything right

They probably already had the plan/date in place but they were expecting a better product to advertise for their rate hikes. A few thoughts from my experience at the newly renovated stadium. I didn't explore every nook and cranny but the stadium had the feel of putting lipstick on a pig to me. I wasn't really impressed with the changes. Seats were nice and they painted the ground and walls. The concessions are still a disaster. They need more tvs as I waited in line, I missed the action. There are tvs everywhere but not enough. One time I waited 10 minutes and I was only 4th in line, no excuse for that. The food wasn't impressive, I would compare it to fast food. I believe they just slapped the names of these new vendors on the wall but are using an inferior products to feed people. They did have nice open areas to relax and watch the game if that's your preference.

It was pouring rain as I entered the stadium so the lines moved unusually fast because they laxed on security because of the rain, thankfully ISIS didn't show up. Parking still the same, got there early so I didn't have a problem with traffic. I sat in the lower end zone so I had an excellent vantage point, not sure if that has changed. My god the music between plays is absolutely ridiculous. Celebration after every single play. If anything for the Dallas game, all that music was getting the Cowboys fired up more than us. Knock that **** off and just give a play by play, play the music when it matters. Empty corners were awkward. If I had to give the renovations a grade it would be a C. The new canopy will help with rain and keeping the fans shaded but other than that I don't see big improvements unless you are sitting in the luxury seats.

According to Nielsen, St. Louis is tied for 27th among the 32 NFL teams in TV viewership of the home club’s games. Nielsen says 19.7 percent of homes in the market with a TV have tuned to Rams telecasts in figures compiled through Nov. 9 (the most recent period, ending, in which figures are available).

The bottom line: Despite the team’s shabby treatment of its fans, St. Louis is ahead of both New York teams, the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders and is tied with the San Francisco 49ers.

Rams fans really are a resilient bunch.

THIS IS YOUR CHANCE SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ---- send a message and DO NOT RENEW. Not only does this franchise have the audacity to require commitments before the season is over, but they are also raising ticket prices! Its absurd given the product they field.

By not renewing you send the strongest message you can to this inept and incompetent owner and FO. And you will voice the sentiments of the entire fanbase. Not renewing sends the strongest possible message -- more so than some stupid petition or moronic flag flown above the stadium. Hitting Ross's wallet is the best and strongest way to send a message. This is how you enact change.

It's much easier to sell tickets when you are 4-6 than when you are 4-12.

Oh so Ross didn't pay for upgrades out of altruism. Well I'll be darned. Everyone here loves to slurp him over the stadium improvements though he was just investing in his own return. Of course ticket prices are being raised. If the deadline was set awhile in advance then it was to offset Philbin's usual late season collapses. If it came recently then it's because the expectations are that this will look really ugly by the end of the year.

always always always about the money grab, with this dude... blood-sucking-vampire-walking dead owner sucking the love of football out of the community

If it were up to me, I would have gone with a downgrade to make it more like the Orange Bowl. Forget comfy seats and working bathrooms, toughen up the fans and try to make the game experience what it once was. JK/lol.

On a serious note, capacity has been really reduced, which means less have to pay for more? :)

Just curious. How many here have ever had Dolphins seasons tickets?

He's doing plenty right. He raised ticket prices before after a disappointing season and the suckers came back in droves to buy tickets. What's his motivation to not raise ticket prices? None. He's laughing at everyone buying tickets. He knows they will continue to buy. He knows that sports is a unique business where people feel obligated to have continued loyalty. You see evidence of that all the time on these forums. I've lost count of the amount of times someone has given me a thumbs down for saying I don't support the team financially in any way, including purchasing tickets.

How, if at all, do you support the Dolphins?
