Mando and his sources very much rebuttal Adam Caplan from earlier today. This one should be interesting to keep score on.

I am a big Albert fan. However, the team must, must, must make sure he is as ready as possible before sending him out there. His return from that terrible injury last year was nothing short of remarkable, but they have to be smart with him. Re-injury is very possible as is hurting another body part if he is favoring the old injury.

Gotta love in the comment section where the guy says the offense will be better if Moore or Freeman were the starting QB. I question humanity when **** like that is said with a straight face.

I am told by multiple team sources that Branden Albert absolutely, positively remains on a time table to be ready for the regular season opener and that even if a setback or caution precludes the left tackle from playing in that game, he definitely will not be out until Week 3 of the season.
Earlier Saturday, ESPN reported Albert would not be ready until Week 3.

Pouncey said he's not concerned about the injury. "I'll be back at practice next week," he said. "I ain't missing no game so you don't have to worry about that."

Tannehill completed 15 of 19 passes for 145 yards with one touchdown. His quarterback rating for the game was 116.0. And that means this preseason, Tannehill is 33 of 41 for 303 yards with 3 TDs and 0 INTs. His QB rating for the preseason is 121.8.
:brewskis:

So what the hell was Adam Caplan drinking when he wrote his story, tequila ?

Probably nyjunc commenting.

Pouncey wanted to play during his hip injury last season, too, as this the typical talk from him. I just pray his MRI comes up clean.

Actions speak louder than words.
If Pouncey was an issue health wise then they wouldn't have let JD Walton go.

ALbert is more if an unknown IMO. No one can predict. That said they cant publicly declare they are concerned about his health because it kills there negotiating position with any tackles out there.

Compensation injuries are often overlooked in successful "recoveries" from original injuries. No one is immune. Whether your game is strength or speed, your body is a collective machine. Prolonged stressing of other units to compensate for the lack of an injured one will eventually lead to further injuries. Proper recover is not just about restoring health to an injured body part, it is about restoring a healthy balance to your body.

The playing window is so small for most athletes in a "what have you done for me lately" league that the former is held in the highest regard while the latter is an unfortunately ignored.

I love Albert, but I love a healthy and fully recovered Albert better. I can wait if he can.

I also believe this is one of the situations that makes the La'el Collins situation sting even more for us. As we are perilously thin at T and that could motivate Albert or indirectly impact the team pressuring him to come back sooner.

I think all of us would have felt better if we had done more to address the OL this offseason. I'm not saying Thomas isn't improving or this or that... but additional options would have brought about the best results. I certainly hope DT makes the jump. Because we need him now more than ever. He has been positioned by Philbin and Co to become an integral part of the OL as a LG and backup Tackle. Now that Fox has been sidelined, his importance cannot be overlooked.

What does this mean? He is in the process of returning and hasn't played a down yet, so not understanding how his return has been remarkable.

The Dolphins appear to have been handling his recovery process extremely well.

i don't see a typical recovery as remarkable

What are the 'bad tidings on the horizon' that he mentioned? Albert's potentially delayed return? Even if he comes back by game three, that's pretty good turnaround for such a serious injury.

I wouldn't be pissed if he stayed out first 2 games considering Washingtons and J-Ville's D-Line isn't spectacular...better safe than sorry, just bring him back slowly..same with Parker
I am sure we will pick up an OL within the next week granted our O-line depth isnt great
