Mando: Winner in the Fisher Drama is Ireland

Has there ever been a Miami Dolphin that has had more lives then Jeff Ireland?

Nothing is EVER his fault. He ALWAYS has an out. Its ALWAYS someone elses fault. And what has he done to earn such bulletproof status? Ugh, he was hired. So for being hired in the first place, we now give him more and more power.

I really need a job like that. Really, anyone who is hiring, throw me a job in which i can fail repeatedly and everyone around me can fail but i continue to get money, promotions, and defense from people outside the job simply because i was hired in the first place.
 
Since no one knows exactly what happened when Parcells was around, we can't say one way or the other. For all we know, Ireland could have advised BP to take Matt Ryan or Earl Thomas and was over-ruled.
We can look at the past year to judge his performance and he had pretty good year. He hit on multiple free agents and draft picks. The Orton thing is troubling but I give him credit for attempting to upgrade and even though Matt Moore wasn't his first choice, he did choose Moore.
