Anyone paying attention to the amount of money being thrown around for players that are not in the upper eschalon of their positions? No thanks. Rebuilding or not, we have to start "winning" in the draft.

Well I think the only real big name FA we we're looking to really throw money at was Peyton Manning. VJ and MW we're farther off the radar for Miami....totally agree that the draft is where we really need to work some magic. I'm hoping for a trade-down considering the options that will probably be around at the 8 pick. Unless we go O-line or D-line first pick....not too sure.

bargains will be had later. Half the league is strapped. Manning putting teams on hold. Us as well. I dont believe anything from NFLN or ESPN. Dolphin haters....like half this board.

I'm with you. The Chicken Little syndrome permeating the Dolfans and the Media is just pathetic. 25 hours into free agency and everyone's making it sound like we gave up Jerry Rice and are in full rebuilding mode. We got rid of a headcase that's one black eye away from a year's suspension. And there are a few WRs coming out in the draft that will fit in quickly in the WCO.

They are playing it smart. I don't think Manning is coming but by waiting, they aren't gonna overpay for Flynn. I just hope they sign Eric Winston.

I'll reserve my panic until after Free Agency, the Draft and the last round of cuts in training camp.

Your right. I hope we don't get Flynn either

If we don't get manning and we don't get Flynn whom do you propose we start at QB next year? Would you be happy with Moore? Tannenhill is probably not ready to start for at least a year or two

Yea no thanks, Miami is just going to suck complete ass so ****en bad its sickning. They went from being a qb away from challenging ne for the divsion and being a playoff team to the ****en basement of the ****en whole ****en league. but yea ahh "no thanks" hope you enjoy watching them get their ****en ass kicked all year long.

We trade Marshall because of an incident, haven't signed a free agent yet....... People are in panic mode as usual. It gets pretty freakin comical on this board when free agency hits. See above  get your popcorn!

....and this is any different than 10 years ago? 20? Since 1984? Perhaps the mid 70's. Sure we have had success during those era's but if you dont win a superbowl since the early 70's it's kind of pointless to talk about success, right?

All the receiver's in FA so far have been overpaid so far and none are really top 10 talent anymore. I am also glad we have not rushed to overpay someone.

I think we are moving to a GB style model as opposed to a Jets style big splash in FA win now at all costs style. Like many I'd like the win now but I would rather build for the future now then bring another circus situation back to Mia.. we removed the cancer and now we can start to get better for real.

YET? man when is the last time we were big in free agency? we need to make a splash some how

When we get an owner and front office that actually has some football sense then maybe the free agents will want to come to south beach. It isn't like Miami is Oklahoma city or something. Miami always has struck out in free agency for as long as I can remember.

It's time to ditch the dumb nightclub and orange carpet crap along with retarded stadium songs and start concentrating on rebuilding a once proud franchise back into relevancy...

Sorry, there is a reason for anger on the board. We got rid of our best WR in a long time, not to mention our biggest offensive threat. The cheapness we gave him up for is the big kick in the ass. Now day 2 gone by and no word about anything after the owner has promised to make a big splash in FA? Even if we get Manning, which is highly unlikely, he has nobody to throw to with the exception of a possible future pickup of whats left in Laurent Robinson or Mario Manningham.

There is a reason for the "sky is falling" mentality. Its because we've been crap for so long, making stupid decisions and it's happening all over again.

Yea. Who needs studs. Can't wait to see all the bargain bin stop gaps we accumulate when everyone worth a damn is gone.

The stupid decision would be to hope Marshall will not be suspended for more than 25% of next season, become a better person and find happiness all of the sudden on the team. The stupid thing would be to start out the Philbin era with trying to patch up our problems on the team in FA by overspending for talent that is not even top 15. Look how good using FA to build a winning team has worked around the league for the last few years (eagles, last years jets and so on) We are doing the only logical thing we can when faced with our current situation. Rebuilding in the hopes of having a winning team in the future.
