Did you guys see the press conference with Manning after todays loss to Pitt? Manning was pissed. But he screwed up when he called out his o-line. Manning was scared stiff for almost the entire game and then he wants to call out his teammates? WOW. This will rub some folks the wrong way.
To bring up another point: Alot of people are comparing Marino and Manning, as far as numbers and now people are saying Manning is like Marino when it comes to bad luck in the playoffs. But I have to draw the line on the Marino/ Manning comparisons. They are nothing alike. Marino could carry a team with a LOT less talent and go further with them. But, more importantly, Marino never EVER singled out a player or a group of players to lay the blame in their laps.

Manning has Jeff Saturday, an all-pro lineman, and he is dissing him and the O-Line.....Peyton, you need to look in the mirror son.

Did you see the amount of pressure Manning was under??

I didn't see what he said. But that OL was pitiful. Ill prepared as well.

Definetly not saying the O-line played well. But Manning should ***** them out in private, in the locker room - not call them out on national TV.

Blitzburgh figured out how to get to Manning, and executed to perfection for most of the game. It was so beautiful that it almost brought a tear to my eye. Nothing in football is more fun to watch than a defense effectively blitzing the hell out of a HOF-caliber QB. Indy was thoroughly outplayed and outcoached. There's no reason for Manning to call out his teammates like that, though. Manning could have done more. His usually brilliant audibling didn't work on Pittsburgh most of the time, and he was unable to recognize a number of blitzes. He needs to take responsibility for this loss, too. After all, he's one of the highest paid players in the league, unlike his offensive linemen.

He claims he can usually talk a team out of blitzing but Pitt, no matter what he did would blitz if they're mind was set on it. They did have piss poor blocking though. Still..he had a chance to win it at the end.

If he snapped the friggin ball before the playclock was at 1 it might help his o-line a little!

I agree with the MANNING/MARINO comparison... If MARINO had a 1000+ yard rusher and a defense as good as the COLTS, he would have been to SEVERAL SUPERBOWLS!!!

The one who should be called out is Dungy. By resting his players and giving them limited playing time for the final three weeks of the season, then having a bye week, he essentially blew them out of their rythmn for a month.

It showed. They weren't in synch and got caught in the crosshairs of a red-hot Steeler team.

I'd fire Dungy if I owned that team.

Silly...the Seahawks pretty much sat everyone for the last 2 games and the bye. They still won minus their best player. The Steelers were A BETTER TEAM.

I agree with this. He makes those guy sit in their stances for an eternity while he does all his pre snap crap. I know they guy calls some audibles but don't you think, the odd time, the guy could walk to the line and just snap the ball. Let his guys come off the ball instead of sitting and waiting.

Peyton needs to take a LONG look in the mirror. He's the one with a 3-6 playoff record.

He does that every game in the regular season too. Does anyone question him then?

His team NEEDS A BETTER DRAFT. They've blown picks on marginal players that supposedly have the smarts and cover 2 skills to get by, but in reality they just are marginal players. They have no burners at WR, no dominating offensive linemen other than Glenn, they have an undersized but not that fast D with a small and slow CB core(except Jackson). They need to draft real players, stop relying on guys like Lilja and draft like normal teams while Peyton is still in his prime.

Quite a few times I saw Peyton get blindsided by a completly un-blocked man. And I laughed every time. For some reason I hate the Colts. Id be pissed at my O-line too if I was Peyton though.
