Well, here at the Super Site, I' got the chance to talk to several NFL and Dolphins sources Thursday evening and everyone tells me the Dolphins definitely will be making the play for Manning. Secondly, I come to find out Manning is something of a South Florida fan.

A club source told me Thursday evening that Manning has indicated several times during his career an affinity for the region and most recently put his money where his mouth his in that he and his wife bought a condo on South Beach. The name of the condo is Continuum.

"His wife is also a big fan of the area," the source told me. "He likes the area. He likes the vibe of the area more than you might think. They own a condo down here. And no other team that could be trying to sign him will be able to say that."

Very interesting as the drama continues.

Lots of people buying condos on South Beach for pennies on them dollar. My bet is this goes to a leasing and management company as a high end vacation rental, just another way for Manning to add/diversify to his portfolio.

I get so excited just thinking about a HEALTHY Peyton Manning on this team for the next 3 years, but everybody has to pause for a second because he is nowhere near close to healthy, yes his neck is now healed and there is no risk of him getting hit, BUT the nerves in his arm have not regenerated and the fact is nobody knows when this will happen, it could happen tomorrow morning, it may happen next month, and there is a serious possibility it never happens, yes, often times with this injury the nerves in the arm never regenerate, he is still having trouble gripping the football, he still has pain in his arm and tricep, the velocity on his ball is still not up to performance level, so there is still a HUGE hurdle for him to cross!

Not a big deal. I'd venture to say 60% of professional athletes own some sort of property in South Florida. Nice to hear anyway.

Or he could be buying it as a retirement property, like millions of others who retire to Florida to enjoy the weather, beaches, golf, boating, and no state income tax.

Once he is cut, I would be on his doorstep with an incentive-based/incremental deal that Manning could make the money he is losing by being cut by the Colts. He would have 48 hours to accept. If time passed, I would move on...

I would roll the dice that he would be able to return. IF he did not make enough progress by the draft, I would take a young QB from rounds 2-5 and keep Matt Moore. I am willing to play with Matt Moore next year if in fact Manning cannot return.

I want the motivated Manning.

If he became a Dolphin he would probably sell that condo. Not anywhere near where most of the Dolphins players live and not close to the training facility. A few early morning drives in South Florida traffic and he'll be putting up the for sale sign...if the Dolphins were to sign him that is.

Hell, I would be even willing to give him until 2013 to let his arm fully regenerate, I would take Manning from 37-40, favre was still playing at a high level at 41

100% Agree with this. It's EXACTLY what I hope Miami does.

I haven't heard anyone mention this, but would Manning really fit into what Philbin is trying to do. With Manning, there would be no West Coast Offense. The offense would have to be tailored around Manning and he would basically run the show, like he did in Indy. Not saying that's a bad thing, as I would be 100% on board with Manning, as opposed to any other QB options. I just hadn't heard this mentioned.

Favre
11 tds...19 interceptions...7 fumbles..QB rating of 69.9
I'd love to see what you consider POOR QB play

He is a fan of the area I dont see in that article where it says he is a "fan" of playing for miami.
