Manning is coming to Miami......no doubt

True, but Manning wants to sign before FA start......and I don't think Manning wants to see a prolong biding war.

It wont be prolonged but if he wants to go to Denver and somehow miami outbids them which I doubt they could then he will tell them to up offer.

CO state income tax 4.63%
AZ state income tax 4.54%

I do't think we will be outbided by teams.

If a team offers 20 million and we offer 15 that income tax is not going to really make our offer better.
If its about money other teams can easily outbid us.

For his salary you are right but Denver could afford to get all his buddy's like Saturday and Reggie Wayne with thier $40 mil or so cap space. We can not without redoing some contracts.

phins want him bad so its up to manning. phins are a manning away from getting to the superbowl.

they just need to add a pass rusher, starting guard or tackle, get another cb, and get te and safety.
thats manning, a solid draft, and couple more free agents.

Gary Woodland is a decent pro who made the cut at Doral. Guess tiger was busy.
P.S, I lived at Doral for a while and that tournament is great if you like golf.

When the Dolphins FO said they have everything in place, translation, they thought of re-structuring contracts.

Im sure every nfl team in the league has a plan some just are not very good. Maybe now with Philben on board we have a good plan because for the last 4 years the plan has not been a successful one and we still have one of the writers of that plan on board. I think confidence in Philben for Manning is the key because in reality why should he have any conmfidence in irleand. I still think money will be a much bigger key when he chooses between his finalists. People can say he earned all this money and doesnt care about it but that never seems to be the case in reality

Is there a reason why you can't spell Philbin's name correctly? I mean I figured by now you would have got it right, even by accident even.

Actually I never really looked at the spelling of his name so thx for the info. Hmm maybe I will keep spelling it like that until he proves himself. The most mispelled name on Finheaven is Paul Soliai. Funny I even reread the article on his son's basic rape of an underraged girl and didnt catch it then either thx again

I believe so as well and hopefully he returns back to the Peyton of old. This team needs a shot in the arm at QB. Picking up another (young) QB for insurance and grooming purposes whether it be thru draft, trade, or FA would be smart as well.

We need to hedge our bets for once. signing Manning and ignoring getting a qb to develop would be a possible recipe for diaster

If Peyton was going to sign a deal in Denver or Arizona, wouldn't he have brought his agent with him???? Unless it is not about the money? Which is good for us since the Broncos have around $50 million in cap.....about three times more than us. I don't hear any NFL players say, "I am excited about getting to play for the Cardinals." Kurt Warner doesn't think Peyton is going there...he thinks he is going Miami. I think it will be MIAMI....his wife seems to like Miami, and that often plays a big part when making these type of decisions if everything else is pretty equal. We shall see.

Players say they are excited to play in whatever city signs them. Its what you say. nobody says I signed a contract here because they offered the most money but i would rather play elsewhere.

I agree. Some players grow up as a Dallas Cowboy's fan and deep down they want to wear that star on their helmet, but as soon as they get that money, they become huge fans of whoever signs them. Many guys say, "It's not about the money," but they are lying. But with Peyton, I think he has more than enough money to be happy for life. I think he's made almost as much money from endorsements as he has from his NFL contracts. Hopefully Miami will be able to make their pitch and be the last team he talks to, and then he goes home to his wife, they talk about it and then he has a news conference on Tuesday saying he is coming to Miami. :woot:
