What makes you think he is playing games here?

I think 2/3s of the teams in the league would take Peyton on a restructured deal where say he only gets paid as he plays. It takes away the big risk factor surrounding him.

I'd have thought staying in Indy with the chance to play if healthy would be his preferred choice over any of the teams being mentioned.

Doesn't matter if he's willing to rework his contract. What matter is what does Luck want to do? Because the Colts are going to draft Luck no matter what, but if Luck is NOT okay with being on the bench then the Colts will just let Peyton go.

Second, on Peyton's side, does he want Luck behind him? If Peyton were to restructure his contract to make it purely performance based, and he starts struggling, they will bench his *** and put Luck in, saves them lots of money as they won't have to pay a dime.

Or Peyton can just go to a team like OURS, and be given a full opportunity to play a full season (if healthy) and earn his money.

Can we just start a Manning forum please? If you want to read about Manning you can just go there. If you are sick of reading about him like me, you don't.

Why? Why would he subject himself the last few yrs of his career to the kind of physical abuse he is likely to encounter with the supporting cast of the Colts. They are an aging team devoid of quality young talent. With the 1st pick in the draft,, they will not be doing anything to make an immediate impact on the team or upgrade the talent level for Peyton's benefit.
He has NO shot of making the playoffs the way that team is currently constructed (even with a healthy Manning). That team has been in slow decline since they won the SB. However, Manning's high level play covered up a lot of the deficiencies.

Agreed though we won't have anything to talk about in the GB. It's the offseason and nothing interesting going on for a good few weeks.

Or you can stop opening the Manning threads and start your own threads on other topics. It's the hot topic now (during the slowest news time of the year), it isn't going anywhere.

Indy is his team. He has his roots there. His father came out and said that Peyton would like to stay with the Colts a few weeks ago. I guess we'll know for sure soon, if Peyton really wants to stay then perhaps they can make it work
