When Philbin arrived, we pursued Manning and ended up with Tannehill. Looking back at Manning's success, Tannehill's development and Manning's decline, did we end up in a better situation?

Tannehill, because he's our quarterback.

I'm of the belief that you try to win at all times. That being the case, Manning was far and away the better option at that time, so that's what I would've gone with.

If you're asking with hindsight, clearly Manning was/is the better QB, but there is so much context, the division, the o-line, the WRs, etc. Would Manning have succeeded here in ways Tannehill did not? No one can really say, but my speculation would be that there would've been a lot less mental errors, and we likely would've made the playoffs at least once during those years.

Manning would have made us a contender for a few years. Like Marino, he's one of the rare QBs that you could put on any team and they would become competitive.

One can also say Manning would have been dead by now, having been slaughtered by our O-line in combination with Jets/Bills D-lines.

Then- Manning
Now- Tannehill

Kinda a hard question to answer actually

Here comes this stupid **** now...

Manning cant throw on the move anymore denver would be wise to take that out of the playbook the bootlegs etc and tell kubiak to give the offense back to peyton...anything else is stupid

He cant drive the football on some things anymore but if the gameplans right what i saw tonight can still make plays...especially when you have 2 pass rushers like they do on the edge...d ware looks like he found the fountain of youth

kcs gonna be sick about that one

give the playcalling control back to peyton cause the tackles are very suspect in denver and thats a big deal...peyton has to be the one driving the o

Unless kubiak wants to get fired he needs to get the **** out of the way...

Evan Mathis has been pretty damn suspect too.

Not really...the chiefs came out in a both edge rushers same side package which put houston over mathis and houston beat him...which any guard would get murdered.in the same scenario...houstons the best edge rusher in football so good luck if they get you 1 on 1 there with an interior player

For what i saw the broncos left tackle is the most suspect

First play of the game mathis made a block dallas thomas only makes in his dreams...just engulfed the guy

Although there's far lesser talent around him, Mathis' play so far has not come close to the hype he received as a FA this offseason.

I think that's what we were seeing tonight. Denver's offense looked and ran a little different from what it did in week one.

This.

If we'd signed Manning, we'd be out of a QB by next season. His arm looks like a limp noodle tonight, no zip at all.

All those TD passes he throws don't have zip either.

Yes, after kubiak got the "@&$ out of the way and let manning run his own no huddle shotgun offense the offense started playing much better
