Manning/Peter King

Think about it, not only would he give us a chance to compete he could help us pick and groom our Franchise QB. Who better than Peyton? Nevermind, Marino is.
 
I know one thing I dont want to take a QB in the 3rd or 4th round!!!!!! We've been doing that for years now!! If you get Manning you still need to get Barkley and have him sit!!!!! We have enough pieces on this team to do both!!!
 
he could be released, but he probably will agree to postpone his bonus so they can trade him, he is not on IR yet, so they are going to see if he can throw, nerve damage can take years if it every comes back

What QB have we taken in the third or 4th?

And if Manning on the decline can throw for 4700 yards and 33 TD's than sign me up. I think Favre proved you can play into your 40's so I have no problem with us signing Manning.
 
I don't see Manning wanting to come here if he is cut. I know we've won 3 straight but not against any good teams. I just don't think this team is a Super Bowl contender even if we get a healthy Manning given he's on the down side of his career. Also, he's going to want a team much closer to winning it all than we are.

Personally, I don't think he will be the same with this neck problem. That's is not an injury that you can play through effectively and may make him one hit from retirement.
I'm not against signing him as long as we still draft a QB in the first round. I just wouldn't get my hopes up this will fall into place.

you know what I meant!!! We havent taken a QB in the 1st rd in over 20 years!!!!!

You put him on our team with Bush, Marshall, Bess, Hartline, and Clay and I think we could really have a shot at a Super Bowl. Draft a RT in the first round to make sure Manning lasts through the season and a 3rd/4th rd QB to groom behind him.

I'd have no problem bringing him in as long as we draft a QB in the first to sit behind him for a year or two to learn.
 
Peyton Manning in a dolphin jersey would make me smile. And then we get all those nice commercials with him. Im getting giddy.

This.

We have so many weapons right now, guys in their prime. Add a couple more players (don't need to blow up the roster) and we'd be legit contenders w/ Manning- even if for a few years.

We haven't won a SB in how long? I'd say we load up the barrels and take a shot next year.
 
I completely agree. Inject our offense with as many steroids as we can and get a decent return/fast deep threat receiver and make a run for the SUPERBOWL.
 
Peyton...is still a top 3 qb.with Peyton we are guaranteed at least the afc championship.with that defense and a elite qb? I...think I would cry if this happens
