Over the last 3 games, RT17's performance based on QBR is in pretty rarified company, ranked #6. All the more remarkable considering that even with this outstanding sample set, it still only brought his season passing performance up to #23. Do 3 games, including 2 on the road constitute a trend? Remains 2B seen.... and possibly not, but it's certainly encouraging and fodder for those of us who've seen enough high potential in him to continue to be all in. :idk: (not that I've never been wrong before LOL).

He's had a good stretch, no doubt about it. However, it's worth pointing out that we've dropped only 2 passes in those 3 games, versus 12 in the first 3 games. The entire offense is playing better. Let's hope that we keep it rolling.

I do not understand people's insistence lately on saying that Tannehill played well vs. Green Bay. Correct me if I am wrong but, does the Green Bay game not fall within the range of the last 3? So unless he played well in that game, how did he manage to play well in the last 3 games?

He played well vs. Oakland and Chicago. That is all. 2 of 6 games this year he played well. That is really nothing to brag about.

Also, nice 77.0 rating at home this season.

I'd say he's definitely trending up after a slow start. Learning the intricacies of the new offense probably explains that.
Got to build off this and keep it going.

Very worth pointing out!

Its definitely encouraging. I was ripping Tannehill as hard as anyone with how he started the year but Im still rooting for him to do well. A lot is riding on him getting it. He seems like a good guy too. For better or worse we are gonna find out for sure by week 17.

He did roughly the same thing last year in games 12 through 14.

Correct. He also did roughly the same thing in weeks 1-3 last season, as well as a several game stretch in his rookie season.

None of what has occurred is new. Yet, there seems to be no learning curve with the Tannehill fluffers. Lets see him string together a BUNCH of games in a row that are at least average games. Then we can talk. Get this team with a very good defense to 10 wins for once, then we can talk. Otherwise, it is just more of the same from Tannehill. Yet, these guys fall for it every time.

Until Tannehill proves otherwise, I fully expect the trend we have seen before to continue. He will likely end his little 2 of 3 good games run with a serious spell of ****ting the bed sooner than later. The result will be yet another season of somewhere between 7 and 9 wins and the phins missing the playoffs despite having a solid defense.

I could see him playing well again next week and perhaps even the week after that. Then again, I will not be stunned if he can not even generate offense vs. the Jags. Its Tannehill. It is what he does. Neither result will surprise me. What would surprise me is if he continues to play like he did last week for the bulk of the remainder of the season and the Phins make the playoffs.

The tale will be told soon enough. Games against Detroit, SD, Baltimore, NE, Denver, and divisional rivals Bills and Jests will tell the story.

He played well in the second half leading the comeback and i think had a streak of completions. His two first half INT's were bad so this game was more or less only average sandwiched between two good ones.

Agreed we saw this at times last year only to be disappointed in the end but at the very least he is trending in the right direction.

of course, some posters were very quick to blame inaccurate passes for the drops. now, it's probably just the receivers holding on to the ball :idk:

only one of those ints was bad in the first half...the stare down one...the other is a 50/50 ball that every qb in the league throws and it wasnt poorly thrown either...the qb has not played bad football this year...save for one quarter vs kc...the 4th one...that was bad play from the qb not making plays that were there in the clutch...

The GB game does fall within the last three. That doesn't change his QB rating over the last three. It is still 105.8 and good for 6th. Now, please give us a breakdown half by half or quarter by quarter for all the other QBs so we can compare.

In a case of cosmic symmetry, we have Matty Ice in 6th from the bottom over the past three.

Is 23 considered a BUNCH of games? Can we now conclude that your boy is done with a 6-17 record?

Let's not bash Matt Ryan in this thread, please. Over that stretch, Matt Ryan has played the excellent Giants and Bears defenses, so it's understandable that he's not been...

Matty Beast Ice sucks. Everyone thought he sucked last year because all of his receivers were injured. This year he is showing that he is simply just a very bad QB. Currently one of the leagues worst

So to sum up this rant, you're saying 'I've totally given up on Tannehill and since I have so should every mother****er on this board.' Too bad we are all allowed to think for ourselves. Yes, it can go either way...but the fact that he has done this a couple times before (as you pointed out), shows the potential is there. We're waiting for consistency.
