Manning Stock Watch on NFL.com has Mia as Favorites!

its like almost EVERY sports writer/blogger, tv personality is trying to will manning away from miami.

i dont buy into much of the miami hater conspiracy's but the way these guys are going after miami in the peyton sweepstakes is just unbelievable! they wont stop! they know nothing, about the broncs, titans, cards, and when ever peyton makes a new stop, they are now the fav as soon as he steps out of the cab!!

but, miami has NO chance, never did. he doesnt want them, theres nothing there for him, etc..... and they MEAN IT!

michael irvin and marshall falk are the only ones who seem to be in miam's court. i live in az. cards are not that great and not on any verge of anything. they have one super player, thats it. other than that, there a slightly above avg team.

the broncos are so over rated its pathetic!! they are beatable on many fronts. they got over on some teams with the tebow thing, much like miami did with the wildcat. but thats all on thin ice. they have no wr's of note, marshall and loyd are LONG gone. royal is decent. there defense is pesky, scrappy, but not dominant across the board ala the ravens.

but the media makes all these teams sound like there instant superbowl winners with peyton! living in denver is almost like living in tijuana these days. the surrounding smaller suberbs are cool but denver is getting dingy and dangerous, not the ideal living place for the mannings as they say it is. same with az. again, i live here and i wouldnt want to raise a kid here. not the way the boarders are now wide open and the crap happening in the schools with the militants and the bullying.

the dolphins have every bit, maybe more than these teams. marshall is gone but its pretty obvious we are drafting a wr like blackmon or floyd now and the others we have are pretty damned good. i would take our wr core right now over denvers, without marshall!! none of those teams have anything to write home about TE wise. fasano and clay? with manning chucking the ball? advantge miami!

i just dont get the almost hateful tone these sports reporters/insiders have when talking miami and manning.

its kind of wierd!

Honestly, I feel as though at this point Manning is "upset" that there aren't more suitors for him. He probably expected more people to be jumping at him, and I'm afraid he feels like he's settling for one of the remaining teams. If he signs with Miami, I don't feel like it will be a process that excites him, but rather that it was the best option left so he'll take it. Honestly, none of the other teams are better than us and the only thing one team has (Denver) is cap space.

I don't think Manning sees it that way. I never took him as a guy with a major ego.

Haha. You're looking at the mobile site. The image is days old. It's still got the seahawks and redskins in it and no broncos. It also doesn't say who the favorite is. It just has us with an up arrow since Jeff Darlington reported we weren't out of it yet. I'll be happy when this is over.

Denver has an up and coming defense that is about to come into its own and a good young core on offense, too. They also play in a division that is there for the taking. The window is closing fast on San Diego (if it hasn't completely shut already). I would easily take Eric Decker and/or Demaryius Thomas over anything we have at Receiver. Just because they aren't household names yet doesn't mean they aren't good. They are both young guys who really came on last season and clearly have their best football ahead of them. You just can't say that about guys like Hartline and Bess. They are middling players at best.

Spin it however you want to, but Manning isn't coming to Miami. If I were you, I would wrap my head around that fact instead of worrying about people in the media having negative opinions about the team. It's time to face reality: the Dolphins have not given anyone in the media a reason to be overly positive in years. It is what it is.

Am I the only one who sees the title of the thread as being wrong??!! lol
