Manning to want $21.3 million per season?

When people say its not about the money.ITS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY! Time to move on a the arrogance of not wanting to throw for teams and he expects that money. If its true he has got a pair of balls

Honestly, I don't agree with giving him that type of $. The risk is way too high for someone his age, let alone a player that may have a serious neck issue.

What did all of you think Peyton was going to want 5-10 mill guaranteed a year. News Flash Matt Flynn is going to want 60 million. It is not worth it. We can sign 4-5 Really good starters to fill holes

Ben Grubbs
Robert Meachem
Manny Lawson
Reggie Nelson
Kevin Boss

Then we can draft accordingly. I would rather reach for Tannehill or sign another OL in round 1 TE round 2 and Defense round 3 and roll with Moore 1 more season. QB is the most over paid FA position. Each free agent starting QB is going to want at least what the average salary is which i think is above 15 mill a year for a franchise tagged QB. I have been sayin this for weeks and everyone says I am an idiot. Its funny how all your opinions change when you hear the money he wants.

How much would you pay for a Superbowl? No doubt the contract would be filled with incentive activators to reach that 70m.

Incetive based like 4k passing yards, taking the team to at least a AFC championship, 35+ touchdowns then I'd gladly pay him $21mil a year... B ut there isnt a chance in hell he should get that garenteed.

We are not Peyton Manning away from a Superbowl we have alot of holes on this team and we lost our Defensive coordinator( even that is a mystery for this year). So you cant say look at the Pats they have had the same system for years and they put guys in who fit that system and they know how to work the draft.

Ive read it on two different sites 30 mil sinning bonus plus 3to4 yr deal at 23 per

thats about what i thought he would go for. I thought it would be 5 years and close to one hundred mil

10-15 million range is acceptable, closer to 10 if possible.

$23 million per season??!! That's fricken insane. His agent obviously wants a big bidding war and we need to stay away from that. That would cripple us in free agency and we wouldn't be able to upgrade any other areas that sorely need upgrading.

well you can take the zona out of it to because they are 8 mil over the cap as we speak.

In the end, people that wanted him here still want him here, people that didn't want him here still don't want him here. It's weird how so many are shocked and stunned as if it changed their stance.

No way I do that. However, for those who think it would put us over the cap are wrong. Its all how it is structured. You give him upfront signing bonus and a roster bonus that can be spread out over the term of the contract. Say total bonus money this year is 20 million. We give him a 4 year deal and that counts for 5 million per year against the cap. Then you have to figure what his paragraph 5 (yearly salary) will be. That will all count towards the cap for that year. Its feasible but still a huge chunk of change.
