I still think he is trying to leverage Miami for more money. I really do. All this talk about Peyton wanting to 'go to a winner' etc is nonsense. He wants to get paid like anyone else.

He had plenty of opportunities to take less money in Indy so that a better team could be built around him and he always demanded to be the highest paid player in the NFL. I don't buy for a second that he isn't milking this last contract for everything he can get.

^THIS...plus the media circus that would have surrounded him coming to Davie would have been ridiculous...Im to the point...I dont give a flying F... what he plans on doing...and sadly I think the rumors of us negotiating with Flynn are just to show PM that we are willing to move on...

Why? Because he still interested in coming to Miami that's why. I still think he goes to the Titans or the Dolphins, those are my two finalists per my source and "strong indications" .

Seriously, Peyton already new about the Marshall thing and he's still interested meaning the Dolphins have a plan in place. Wait till you see it!!! ( sorry I couldn't resist)
 
I don't give a **** about Manning anymore until he makes his decision.
 
For a guy who is totally focused on football and just wants to win, and is just PURE altruistic class, Peyton Manning sure stars in a lot of commercials... and he sure didn't help Indianapolis keep money under the cap to bring in some good defensive players or shore up that offensive line.

I'm not saying he's a bad guy, not at all, but let's not pretend for a heartbeat that he is 'genuinely torn' between these teams. The Broncos are a garbage team with a head coach who makes Dave Wannstedt look like a riverboat gambler. They have the worst defensive backfield in the NFL, can't stop the run, and little talent on offense beyond old man McGahee and DT. Not to mention that he'd be stuck in Denver.

But you know what they do have? An outrageous amount of salary cap room. He's using them to drive up his asking price.
 
If he is just holding out with us for money, why didn't he do that with Washington for as long as he could too?

Was Manning made aware...? Of looming trade?

I've lost all respect for Philbin and he hasn't coached a game yet.

The words I read was shocking trade, it makes no sense.

The Bears stood by Marshall more than his team, and believe me, I'm aware of his issues.

If we don't look like fools, then take a look at everyone who said the move was to save cap space for Manning.

Any over and unders for how long Philbin stays before he's fired?

This trade, eventhough aware of the issues is so mind boggeling.

Meanwhile, we're ignoring the QB that's been taught the NFL and our offense, not to mention mentored, by our coaches and letting other teams get their foot firmly in the door.

Ireland seems like a typical manager incapable of making critical decisions. He waits around until there are no options remaining, then he chooses what's left. And by the time he chooses, it's no longer an issue. This is also known as Congress.

In childish attempts to prove their leadership ability, they emphatically overreact in lesser situations to reassert their decision making ability. AKA trade Marshall.

Which also deemphasizes the importance of a QB by making it seem like we have so many deficiencies around the QB that the QB is not the only decision to be made and can't focus on just one aspect.

The number one reason businesses fail: lack of management. Sports is no different.
 
This is Dolphins nation right now after Marshall has been traded to the Bears, most of the top free agent WRs have been signed and the chances of Manning (or Flynn for that matter) are getting slimmer by the minute. The acorn at the end perfectly summarizes Jeff Ireland's analogy of how he runs this team.

It's because after Peyton met with Arizona on Sunday, he didn't fly back to Miami, but instead to his home in Indianapolis. That's the reason why.

I don’t read much into the fact that he didn’t tour our facilities. For all we know he may have had a tour previously. I also don’t think he would string us along if we weren’t a serious consideration. He has plenty of suitors and doesn’t need us to drive up his price.
