There is a great chance that Manning goes to a team like the Dolphins, Ravens or Redskins. Manning is all about family first and he knows his little bro is the king of NY especially if he wins another Superbowl. I can't see where he would want to go to the Jets and play in the same stadium as his brother etc.... If I have to pick a place that would be the right spot for him it would be the Ravens to stick it to the Colts. If the Ravens don't pony up the cash and stay with Flacco then I can see him coming to Miami. Just trying to give my opinion on where he may choose to go, hope he lands here because he will be back with a vengeance...
Reminds me of when Marino came back from the Achilles injury against the Patriots.... people doubted that Dan would be back to his old form and boy was he back!!!!!

You are absolutely correct. It would be impossible to steal the spotlight from the PUP list.

Meh,

If Peyton believes the Jests are his best chance of winning a ring before he retires, he's there regardless of Eli. Family first has nothing to do with it, and only emphasizes that no matter the circumstance, they are still brothers.

Good chance Peyton doesn't go to the Jests, but that's because he is a terrible fit in the locker room.

This.

If Peyton can play he'll play where he's wanted. If it's New York it's and I think Eli would love having Peyton in New York.

One thing is for sure....he'd want to prove all the doubters wrong.......including me of course.....I believe we'd be taking on a hugh risk but I admit the reward could be awesome too.

Ozzy rules!!

I've been reading that reading Sparano is building a very simple offense for the Jets and Sanchize. Add the the locker room issues, I think Manning is a horrible fit there.

Tony draws his offensive blueprint from other successful blueprints such as Marty Schottenheimer's famous "Martyball" technique. Here's an example of how this looks:

Martyball:

1st Down: Run
2nd Down: Run
3rd Down: Pass
4th Down: Kick

Meatball:

1st down: Run
2nd down: Run
3rd down: Run
4th down: Kick

At the least, the Favre Meadowlands Experiment should provide a cautionary tale for Peyton. When you factor in the growing clubhouse cancer, the star WR cancer, a coach who tells fans effu and gives them the finger when not pimping his wife to well-endowed strangers, the sexual harrassment of reporters, the pimping of female employees by front office personnel, the line up of guido coaches waiting to trip runners, not to mention all the empty promises making the team the league's laughingstock, IMO Peyton has too much class and sense to insert himself into that situation, especially with that porous OL.

Eli's had a chance to watch this circus up close and personal.. and certainly will have some input on the team that shares their stadium. Then there's Archie: if he stepped in to prevent Eli from playing for Spanos, how do you think he feels about Fatso?

Of course then there's that nasty old cap issue too. :idk:

The Jets are such a disaster right now. I honestly think this is going to be Rex's last year in NY. I mean, one more year of Sanchez, but this time with Sparano as the offensive coordinator and no Santonio? With a defense that's rapidly aging and losing pieces through free agency?

I can't imagine that anyone with options would want to step into that train wreck right now.

I don't know where Manning is goinf just like everybody else, or if he'll even play again. Although, I would bet he will play.

I just don't see him going to the Ravens. They will pony up the money for Flacco. He has solidified himself there. The only thing that would cause him to leave is if he just demanded way too much money, which I doubt. Manning might be too expensive for them anyways, considering their cap situation and how many players they have to sign.

Miami, New York and Washington seem to be the most likely landing spots, with Miami and NY making more sense since they are closer to a complete team. Washington is a perennial mess and Manning only has so many years to make it to the Superbowl again.
