The Miami Herald reports during his media session with reporters at the Senior Bowl on Tuesday, Dolphins GM Randy Mueller said DT Manny Wright has indicated he plans to return to the Dolphins next season. Wright's return has been anticipated for some time, but his past behavior will cause questions about the legitimacy of a return until it actually happens. ''I know he wants to play,'' Mueller said. ``I think he's committed to coming back at some point. His intent is to play.''

Good to see. I know some people are skeptical, but I'm hopeful that Manny will respond positively to a different motivator. In hindsight, considering all we know about the way Nick Saban treats other people, I can't blame Manny as much as I used to for what happened.
 
You've got to be kidding me ....

The whole Saban 'lied' to me routine is so lame .... last I knew this was football ...

Manny seems like so many others that have sooo much talent, but might never work hard enough to realize his full potential - because he doesn't feel he should 'have' to or because its actually work ....

When he's actually on the field performing then I'll believe it. Until then, Wright's a complete non-factor.
 
Well my take is beggars can't be choosers. Right now we need everyone we can get in camp. He's gotta know that its do or die so if he punks out again he's got noone to blame but himself. As for us, who knows maybe we get lucky.
 
I bet he's as big as a house again. His weight will be a problem again, since he's had a whole year of eating Momma's home cooking with absolutely no conditioning, since returning to school. I highly doubt if he's a factor ever.

Hey, he's got 3 months to start showing something before the draft, and 6 months before training camp begins.
 
I don't care how mean the coach is. A chance in the NFL shuld mean more than that.

I dont know that he has the right mentality to play in the NFL. To be in the NFL you have to be mean, nasty, and never quit. I have a feeling that we got to see the true Manny last year and that is the same one that we will see in training camp this year.

Hopefully I get to eat some crow pie on this one, but I dont see it happening.
 
Hey! he's already good. He's already played for us in 05 when Traylors knee went out. He played well. We already know he can play. He doesn't have anything to prove as far as ability. The question is? Can he cowboy up and become great. Fred Evans can be very good, but Rod and Manny both have huge potential.
 
Its all up to Manny, he will either show up mean and lean and contribute, or he'll wimp out again, who knows?
 
Remember Manny might have some sort of depression issue that doesn't necessarily mean he can't have the right attitude. Of course I'll see it when I believe it but this isn't stopping me from welcoming him back with open arms.
 
Remember, all we really know about this kid is what coach saban told us! We all know how truthful saban is. what little playing time he did get he looked like the real deal, lets just wait and see. Manny Wright and a healthy Rodrick Wright splitting time at nose position is not a bad thing
