Didnt see this posted anywhere so i thought i should post it

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins rookie DT Manuel Wright (back) likely will miss some practice time with a strained back. The injury could keep him out for a week or two. Wright, who missed the morning practice Wednesday, July 27, has also been asked to lose weight to improve his conditioning and relieve pressure on his back.

Yeah I was thinking this could happen considering how out of shape it he was during he his pre supp. draft work out. Otherwise I don't think he would've fell to a 5th rounder after it sounded like he might go in the 3rd and maybe even 2nd.

man i tell you what...USC sure does baby their players...University of Spoiled riched Cids

Well this will be a good test to see what Manny is all about. If he comes back in a week or two and has lost some weight and his back heals finethat will be a great sign that he is serious and has conditioning know-how. If not then who knows.

Hopefully his daddy will beat some toughness into him the next couple weeks as well....there's no crying in football. ;)

this is way off topic but do you guys think jets & bills fans know that now since we have saban and not wanny we will be a serious threat for the next ?????????? years

I have ben talking to Jets and Bills fans a lot in a chat room and they all seem to be very quick to put Ricky Williams down....what they really fear is Ricky getting back to his old self, along with them trying to stop Ronnie....you can sense their fear and worry! I LOVE IT!!!!

No worries. Hell he wasn't going to play much at all this year. The goal is to get him in a year early and get him in better shape to contribute next year. He was always a 2 year project to begin with.

We all knew that he was going to be outta shape when TC starts. I don't really expect for him to play much this year. I figured that this year would be for him to get into shape and learn as much as he can. Next year is when he should be playing alot.

dont need back problems on the defensive line, that position is already bad for the lumbar spine

It reminds me of comments made when speculation began a long time ago that the Phins would consider him in the SD; that at 6'6", he would be prone to back problems as a DT in the same way that Daryl Gardner was throughout his career.
