Thousands of fans descended on 25th Street in Coney Island for Stephon Marbury's giveaway party. With a state trooper as escort, two 18-wheelers carrying 75,000 free Starbury items arrived. Marbury got out of an SUV, began dancing in the streets with a few of his friends, and said, "Isiah got us help. Zach is here."


Giving away 75,000 FREE Starbury items (mostly sneakers) to kids and adults....you can hate the player, hate his play, hate the Knicks.......YOU CAN'T HATE HIS ACTIONS!!!

Starbury has always been a little brash, but he has a good heart, this is far from the 1st time he has done something like this. I know Marbury has done stuff for kids in GA also after his one year at Ga. Tech. 75,000 items is a ton of stuff to give away, hopefully people that needed it got it.

But he's a great guy and has a great heart, and often gets overlooked because of his contract although that wasn't his fault. Marbury is one guy who I'll always cheer for, yet always make fun of in that same aspect. "I am the best PG in the NBA" - unforgettable.

It's the thought that counts, not about the look. There are kids out there that don't even have shoes, walking around barefoot or wearing the same shoes they bought 5 years ago.
