While Marbury will be shopped this summer, it's difficult to trade him because of his maximum contract. Sources say a buyout is out of the question. According to people close to Thomas, he's hoping they can still work it outThomas declined comment.
Reacting to Marbury again challenging his authority and restrictive system, Brown, for the first time, sounded unsure the two can coexist next season, dropping strong hints the Knicks will look to move Marbury this summer. When asked directly if he and Marbury can work it out, Brown said, "We'll see" then added, "When you look at any coach that's gone to a losing situation, you look at the roster when he got here and the roster after he was there. I don't care who it is, it's entirely changed"
However, trying to salvage the Brown-Marbury relationship appears to be a lost cause. On Saturday, Marbury fired the latest salvo when he said he has tried to play Brown's way and since the Knicks aren't winning, he will go back to playing his way, aka Starbury.

Cant say every follower of the NBA outside the metro area didnt see this one coming. He wont accept a buyout, and has a meager salary of 18.2 mil with 3 more years of 15% increases. Will anyone out there try and pull some sign and trade for that?
