He was under 50% passing with 3 picks and didnt even crack 150 yards passing..
Wheres the love for our D? We also held Steven Jackson under a 100 yards rushing even though he had some big holes to run through all game.

We had absolutely no pash rush on Bulger all game (0 sacks) and one would think with zero pash rush and explosive players like Torry Holt, we would get lit up, especially after that abysmal game to Matt Cassel but nope, awesome defensive schemes in my opinion. Oh and I forgot to mention how we were forced to use Joey Thomas, a special teamer as our STARTING cornerback which looked really scary at the start of the game...That just shows how much we need Jason Allen btw, cause man, Thomas looked lost out there. But big props to the D, especially the secondary and I cannot say enough about Goodman, love the guy. In the past our corners, Goodman included, would get toasted for an easy bomb, but good heads up by Gman, who I think is solidifying himself as our mainstay number 2 CB.

I will give the defense credit. After struggling early on against the Rams running game they locked down in the second half. It would be nice to see them apply more pressure to the QB's we go up against, but Marc Bulger was so horrible yesterday we didn't even need to.

Bulger had a horrible game . . . honestly . . . alot of QB's would have beaten this D up yesterday . . . Bulger had the running game . . . he had time in the pocket . . . he had Joey Thomas in coverage . . . Bulger just missed alot of throws and we made him pay . . . u gotta give credit to the D for that.

But if people think that we can get away with how the D played yesterday against Buffalo . . . they better wake up . . . they bended all day yesterday . . . we better get pressure and close up that middle on Sunday . . . or we are in for a long day.

Are defense had a wonderfull game
we need to play like that every game:up:

But the Dolphins faced Bulger yesterday. Nobody else. They played great against the QB they faced.

Period.

i give the D credit but Bulger was missing alot of wide open receivers. Our secondary is still mediocre but Bulger is definately missing something this season.

I completely agree

Hey thats fine . . . if u want to say that we played great by having gaping holes up the middle in the run D, not getting much of a pass rush and spotting the other teams WR's a good cushion on passes . . . that u . . . but it was pretty obvious that Bulger was downright HORRIBLE yesterday and IMO had more to do with St. Louis offensive struggles then our defense did . . . but like I said . . . the 3 INT's we had yesterday were all great plays by our defense . . . and I MUST give them credit . . . there was a time when I didn't think this defense knew what an INT was lol.

I just think people are being misled by the score . . . I mean anybody saying the defense played wonderful and even "dominant" . . are sadly mistaken . . . because that just was not the case. They bent all game, but I definitely will take the win but we must get better. Even Gus Johnson said . . . "what is wrong with this miami defense" at one time . . . it felt like St. Louis was just mauling them in the run game.

Its almost to the point where . . . the season will feel a bit dissappointing if we were to lose one of these next 3 games . . . and it shouldn't feel like that because we are overachieving and we have had an incredible turn around. We can win these next 3 games, but we gotta do a better job of getting pressure on the QB and these holes up the middle are very troubling. It starts with Buffalo . . . 8 - 5 . . . here we come.

Uh you answered your question. We had no pass rush and allowed a pathetic Rams team to rush for 129 yards on 30 carries.

Is it possible that Bulger had a bad day because of the Defense? Not saying the D was great but come on, if the QB didnt have a good day there is a reason.

Well normally u can say we forced the QB to pass because we stuffed the run game but that wasn't it.

U can say we just got tons of pressure on the pass . . . nope thats not it either

U can say the secondary just blanketed guys . . . but that wasn't the case.

He was just off, he has been like that in games this year . . . hell I know they like Chris Long . . . but u gotta wonder if maybe they should have grabbed Matt Ryan. I think the injuries have just taken a toll on Bulger physically and mentally, he definitely is not the same QB he was a few years back. I mean he was missing wide open guys in points of the game . . . he just looked awful . . . Ray Lucas like.

Those two interceptions by Bulger were absolutely horrible. He just never saw the defender and threw it right into their arms.

I would hold out judgement until we play a better offense. So far the Patriots torched our secondary last week. Personally, I believe in change;however, I'll wait until we put up a solid performance against a top offense such as the Jets.
