What do you guys think about getting this guy? He just spent the entire season on the bench in Baltimore (who are top 3 in talent evaluation) recovering from the epic beatdown he took in St. Louis. He is a smart QB overall and can do a very a good job of running the offense. Can read defenses, can get the ball to the right guy, high IQ, has a good arm, & spent a ton of time learning from a HOF QB.

Career Stats: 62.1 completion %, 240 yds/game, 1.3:1 TD:INT Ratio, 84.4 QB rating.

He is a free agent and I think he would be an EXCELLENT person to challenge Henne in camp. Of all the veteran QBs available (Hasselbeck, VY, etc..), I'd take him. I would love to sign this guy to a 2 or 3 year deal. I'm not saying Bulger is an AMAZING QB or a long term option by ANY means, but he is the best option we have this year. And for the record I think we still need to draft a QB.

Good Lord, not only no, HELL NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wash your brain out with soap for even thinking it . :)

I like him better than VY, Carson and Henne....so I guess its a yes here. Not an emphatic yes, but a yes.

One of the better FA options out there . . . but that isn't saying much. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in to compete with Henne. Would be to upgrade Thigpen/Pennington. We still need to draft a QB and ride with Brandenster on the PS.

Don't think he is better than Henne and he is a bit injury prone, but I would feel half way comfortable knowing he is on the roster.

Who would be a bettter option? and Why do you dislike him so much? I have to admit I havent watched him play A LOT, but most people in the NFL feel he is a good QB overall. They def dont dislkie him as much as you...lol :)

With the O-line he had in St.Louis and the beating he took...its hard to say HE is injury prone. He averaged 2.6 sacks a game through his career, that is a hell of a beating. And if you looks at the stats the majority of the stats came AFTER Holt and Bruce left. After that they had terrible WRs and I am sure that combined with the O-line didnt help.

Maybe not injury prone, but not very durable and I don't expect that to change with him being 34 when the season starts. I think he would be a good short term backup that can start if need be . . . but definitely doesn't solve any answers for this franchise at QB.

If you people think Henne has cement feet then you will truly see what cement feet are with Marc Bulger. He is one of the best standing alone on a field and putting a football thru the hole in a pin. Once the action starts though he is a dear in the head lights type of guy. I do not know what the options are but Marc Bulger is certainly not one of them , especially when a team is trying to amp up its offense.

Putting Bulger under center is like putting a plastic bag over your offense. Let Arizona take him so they may go back to being their usual bottom dweller team in the NFL.

Kurt Warner got beat up in St. Louis also. Bulger was brought in by Mike Martz. His system pays little to no attention to anything in regards to an offensive line. Look at Chicago now, they have Martz and their QB is getting his brains beat in. Its a system where you throw to a pre determined spot on the field regardless of how long the play takes to develop. Sometimes it takes alittle too long but you also need good WRs to make it happen and yeah, your QB is going to get his brains beat in.

Bulger lost his WRs, Holt and Bruce and basically had no one so he went into his new patented, take a sack instead of throwing the ball away. He has a patent on the tuck, bend and fall position. He is the best at it.

HELL NO! I have been saying for years that Bulger made the Rams suck! They got a freaking rookie last year and did better with him than Bulger. Bulger had been living on Stevens' back...riding that horse...for years. He sucks worse than Henne!!!

Bulger would come cheaper and would be insurance if Henne went down. But it really depends on how much they are investing in Thigpen. Bulger will likely want to be no less than the 2nd QB. It's a possibility to bring him in as insurance. The other more popular free agents will want too much compensation. So if Miami doesn't get a guy like Bulger, it's going to likely be Henne and Thigpen with maybe a late round draft pick at the 3 QB spot.

Bulger is the best backup option. I don't care if he has "cement feet", people who cry for accuracy, this guy has it. He gets the ball to his receiver, period. I would be all for bringing in Bulger and let him compete with Henne. Bulger needed that yr off after taking a beating in St. Louis.

All the choices for QB acquisitions this year are really risky. FA's or draft picks. I like Kaepernick as potential future freatness, and I like the odds of betting on a Bulger comeback IF, he is behind a very good pass protecting OL that can also produce at least a mediocre running attack.

Yes, Bulger was has been unstoppable at times in the past, when the pieces were in place.

However, there are other teams out there who realize the same thing. He is going to have to be paid.

I hope Ross is sincere about that open checkbook because the Dolphins have big holes that can't all be filled by a 1st and 3rd draft pick; and a lot of 3rd rounders don't start their 1st year.

IMO he's the best FA QB out there. He could compete with Henne. He may read defenses better than Henne which could help us in the passing game.

I agree with others that we still need to draft a QB - Ponder is my preference.

I could live with Bulger, as long as we draft somebody in the middle rounds also.
