Sorry if this was posted but he's on the cover of this week's SI. I can't believe it's been 24 years. The work he and his family have done has been incredible. This is something Jet and Dolphin fans can agree on.

Yes. He was a football player at The Citadel in the mid 80s and was paralyzed after a big hit.

wrong, it was actually a very simple looking play that didn't look like it would amount to such an injury. Unfortunately it did.

Beat me to it. They have done some outstanding work in this. Everett is walking to day because of the effort put forth by Marc and company. It's really pretty exciting stuff.
Marc and his experiences has been an incredible inspiration to me. I'm a C4/5 15 years post from a collision during a hockey game. Life changing yes, life ending... No Way!
Talk about coincindence, Byrd (Jets) broke his neck on Nov. 29th, my birthday while I was in NO watching the Dolphins lose to the Saints. That day I made the Domes diamond vision doing my Dolphin dance, my wife was so embarressed as the food rained on us. My 15 min. of fame!
