His history with the Giants shows success in player evaluation. Ultimately is that not what the GM has got to excel at? I have heard reports recently that Farmer is supposed to be the leading candidate(if you believe the jackass La Canfora). I will puke if we pick up anyone from the Browns organization.:hsmash:

Do some research. I believe you will find that Farmer is the better gm candidate.

I love Ross. Tom Gamble is the best of the bunch. However, Ross is right up there. Gamble might not even want the job. Ross would be excellent.

I like Farmer over Ross. Ross has been running the Giants draft since 2008...he's had some busts in those first 3 rounds and if his drafts were better the Giants wouldn't be sitting at home right now. It seems to me like the talent is in decline there.

To be fair, Farmer has never been involved in drafts. I do not have an issue with Farmer, but he has no track record with drafting.

Farmer was only with the browns for one year I thought and made a hell of a trade getting a first rounder back for the huge bust that is Richardson! Also Farmer is supposed to be an up incoming GM he's got a lot of people saying he knows his stuff.....I'm not saying we should get him but to use the browns isn't fair cause he was only there a year. Plus Browns fans love him he was just handcuffed by their horrible ownership.

You better start puking because Aponte cam from the Browns organization

Before the Browns he was with the Chiefs for 7 years and that's a pretty good roster, prior to Pioli getting there.

Reports are that Ross has been involved in the Giants last 5 drafts and they haven't been overly impressive. A guy flying under the radar that I happen to prefer is Licht. He is well groomed in both the scouting side and personnel side. I like Farmer but he doesn't have the background in scouting that Licht does.

I haven't heard a word whether or not Gamble is going to interview. I can't imagine he would leave Philly given the circumstances of his fathers health.

He didn't work scouting with the Chiefs and that is a concern.

Gamble might not even want the job.

What would make you think that Gamble wouldn't want the job? He's behind a young guy who just became GM in Howie Roseman and had a pretty successful year one. You could argue it's because of the roots he has in Philly but I'd imagine his goal is to become a GM.

Has more to do with family than anything. His father is in Hospice care in Philly.

Which Ross?

But seriously (?), Licht is underrated and could be decent. Gamble is the cream of the crop but bet Farmer gets the job.

Farmer is recommended by Carl P & has worked w/ Aponte before.

Unfortunately, and I mean unfortunately, hospice care means no hope left, very short process. Sad but harsh truth.
