Marcus Thomas is a monster that will become a steal for somebody.

I'm just wondering what people think of him, how successful he will be in the nfl, if you think he can leave his off field issues behind him, and where you would draft him.

I think if he's still there in the 4th, you cant pass him up.

I have no idea how much getting kicked off the team will hurt his draft stock but I doubt he lasts until the 2nd day.

The 4th??? That's wishful thinking. I would be shocked if he isn't gone by the first half of the 2nd round. Remember, Louis Castillo got drafted by the Chargers in the 1st round after testing positive for steroids. I would say Marcus Thomas is a superior prospect, and it stands to reason that either a good team is going to steal him in the late 1st or a team that really needs him will trade up into the latter portion of the round.

He was, in my opinion, a possible top 10 pick before the off-the-field problems. Also bear in mind that he will be an absolute freak at the combine, which always gets teams excited.

Who is Marcus Thomas?

Defensive tackle for UF. He tested positive for marijuana and failed to attend his mandatory drug counseling, so he was kicked off the team. Also the single most dominant defender I have seen this year, although I am very biased and watch mostly SEC football. :D

OOooooh, okay! :D

since I go to UF I've seen plenty of Thomas, and IMO he's too good not to last past about halfway through the 2nd, especially with the premium placed on star DTs. I wouldnt want him, though...as good as he is, he already got kicked off one of my teams for being an immature jacka$$, why would I want him on another one?

maybe if he comes here, crowder and some other gator alums can talk some sense into him...

He'll slip a little bit. Depends how his interviews go. Definitely don't see him falling past mid 2nd, most likely late 1st.

I'm betting third round. As a Gators fan, I can tell you that he has been in trouble frequently with the team. This will scare everyone but the Bengals away.

The Bungals have trouble at DT....

Barring further drug offenses and/or a shambolic workout i can't see him falling out of the 1st let alone the 2nd

If we continue winning and end up with a pick in the late teens I wouldn't be unhappy if we took him then. Every game I have seen him in this season he has dominated. I doubt he makes it out the 1st, even with his off field problems.
